I wish to present to you a fun event day that will ALWAYS officially occur at 2pm (BST), every Sunday!

So for about a week or two now the K-KA, along with myself and some friends on steam revived the mod called "Full Invasion" for a day or two. It was honestly a ton of fun in which I think and hoped everyone that was there enjoyed themselves. The mod was something new for a lot of people and it was a great co-op for friends to play (everyone was NW players - hence why its being posted here). Expect to be playing with a lot of K-KA members as well as other amazing people in the NW's community! In this respect its a community based project. Hopefully you will meet a lot of new and interesting people, bring our community closer together.
     
After this I have been thinking and I want to continue this as its a great way to introduce the great mods which Warband has to offer. Therefore I am going to "host", and I use that word lightly, a kind of gaming mod day during the weekend, specifically Sunday. Each week we will play a different mod than the previous week(if a change is wanted) and everyone will be required to be on the teamspeak3 to ensure maximum banter and co-operation is achieved. However feel free to get on the teamspeak and play mods with each other outside the "event" time.

To get the IP please PM me through the taleworlds forum as I don't want random trolls coming on to spoil our fun  :mrgreen: So yes, in a way it will be invite only, although if you know me, you will be welcome, as well as your friends. Just PM me or steam message me for the IP!

With Saturday afternoon, some regiments and some people might like it more, they will play whatever game they do in the morning. Then have a fun event in the afternoon. Then a Saturday Line battle at the evening, or other line battles. Sunday is lazy day. And quite day.

Wild Wind? That wouldn't be the best mod. I played it in the past, it's a Cowboy PW thing, where you can build houses etc (Not the best of houses) It isn't worth the download. Plus I think we play too much of the same mod. I.E. Assassins Hunt. I see a few mods that would be fun. MM, Kengeki Gaiden and a few others.

Yeah I've also heard from a few others that it's not very good.. Well, any suggestions? It seems like people don't want to play Wild Wind, there only being 1 mirror for it doesn't help really. I think we are going to do something special for MM during the christmas Holiday's.

So that everyone knows, the Reddit Brigade plays Extra Invasion on Monday evenings (8 or 9 EST to start), sometimes on NW_Reddit_Brigade, but usually on a server called _Goat_Invasion or something. The only bad part is that the latter server has only 20 slots or so. But when we can get the server switched over, we're all set!

If you would like to join our TS for such an event, you can connect to it at 74.91.122.90.

Reddit are NA right? Most of the community in the Revival Squad are EU. I think that would cause lag.
There is a Extra Invasion download, which is faster. Download it via Desura. It gives you OP armour (Isn't a hack) like the predator and alien gear, and weird awesome stuff. Plus it is faster and doesn't need a patch.

Due to Extra Invasion being generally broken, we decided to move over to Assassin Hunt again as it's easy and most of us had it installed. Next week we will most likely be playing 1866 MP, which should be great fun!

Of course, EU. Importantly, the servers we play on are NA, so that makes life difficult, though most of our EU people have tolerable pings. Thanks for pointing that out, though.

1866 is the American mod right? With Natives etc. If so, I have played that mod in the past. I hope it works, it was fun. But a lot of glitches and you crash when you click on MP and SP. Sometimes.

Regarding this i'm not entirely sure. There's 2 possibilities. Either Hekko or someone else will host a server for us which would be awesome sauce and it would be at their discretion to use a password or not, OR no one is able to host for us and we can go on a public server, but at the end of the day it all comes down to if we have too many players in the server, if we have like 5 people turn up a password isnt really necessary!

Also, one thing about people. Since amount of people that came for revival events not so big, would you ever think about spreading the info about revive?I think there is a lot of people besides Squad and NW community, who would like to play these forgotten mods. For example, if we will play AoFI, create a thread it it's subforum, something like "Revive!Squad would held the revival game in date/time, so if you want to recall great time you had playing this mod, fill free to join us"etc.
Yes, there is some(little) chance, that some trolls might come to spoil the fun, but i think we have facilities against them(?).
(When we playing Vikingr there were few players from it's community and no one have any problems with them(also, new 0.98 version of Vikingr were released recently))

Some of you may have known the old Hornbug mod. It was full invasion, but LoTR style.

Some guys have recreated and redone it and this is what they have come up with: here (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,259146.0.html). As always with Invasion style mods, the more people the more fun it'll be.

The other problem is the lack of NA servers, but I think they have one or two. They just never have anyone on them.

Unless the Poll changes which seems unlikely, we will be playing the deluge today.

I just want to mention something, the deluge because it uses WSE, it  needs to be launched stand alone from your standard warband game (like we did with Vikingr) so you may have to input your cd key, seeing as most of us have steam keys, they might not be compatible with the key it asks for, so you may need to email someone on the taleworlds forum to have your 5x5 key converted to a 4x4 key.

It was popular until 1.15x patch came out and crushed it because of WSE-related problems, a lot of people played before it, some amount from MM community played as well, even created regiments there
Although now it has portable version and steam fix, they still can't reach those amount of players and activity they had(besides polish community), for now there is only one public event, weekly common game on wednesdays, last one gathered around 50 ppl

Pride hasn't changed that header on the OP for a good month or so now, 'cause Pride.

I'd prefer to play this "Full Invasion 2" if we are going to play an Invasion mod. Extra Invasion has had a lot of stigma around it and I don't particularly want to touch it.

Someone said mods? I spent a lot of time learning about mods and helping with them.

The mountandblade subreddit had a mod night for War of 1812 last year. It was quite a bunch of fun for one night to play it again. The sub board is still up for the mod, it is just not played very much nowadays. But mods in general could use a revival now and then to look back on the mods the community made here and there and back again. March of Rome was another mod that the subreddit had a mod night for. It's nice those old mods are not forgotten, I just grin with nostalgia when one of the old mods is revived for some time to enjoy again.

With that said, best of luck to the Mod Revival Squad. I may be interested to check it out sometime if there's a Steam group or something for when the revival events go down. Edit: I now see there's a TS used and a time given, any current Steam group/Discord link would be great.

I'm checking the list now of mods on the old OP. I recognize all of them, from all my days back when lurking and checking out many mods to try. The old Invasion mods were good times, I'm a bit surprised Extra Invasion is on there and other old Native mods, like the original Full Invasion (which is not 2, that's still kicking, but worth checking out as well).

Iron Europe or Blood & Iron 3.0: Age of Imperialism could certainly use some love too. I haven't played a lot of multiplayer Native-based mods recently. There's certainly some out there that are not played and underrated for their enjoyment factor or underappreciated, like Bear Force II for a Star Wars themed MP mod.

I sure got around a bit back then, just started posting on FSE again.

Bello Civili was fun as a Roman civil war could get, which is to say, a lot. Forming testudo formation and musicians at your back blaring their horns in antiquity. Edit: There was a new version planned by Hinkel (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=36157.msg1580354#msg1580354), but not sure if that is still ongoing in development for a new faction. As I'm pretty sure the newest version still besides light settings and new map boundaries, was the version where Ptolemaic Egypt was introduced.
