Welcome to the second tournament of EGS Season 4 hosted by Voluble & DarkTemplar & Chainsor. This season we return with a similar admin team with new ambitious additions to continue making EGS the best series ever. The format stays the same for the highly successful league 2, only difference this season has is there is no loans available during 5v5s and League 1 has a different format. Same old EGS, same old consistency and media coverage expected!
The tournament will be hosted on Sunday the 20th November at 20:00GMT. There will be a transfer ban for this tournament. The tournament will be played in the standard 6v6 format. Teams will have to fight their way through a groupstage in order to claim victory.

Every team must read the following rules as they are very important and EGS rules are different compared to normal tournaments.
We were kind of disappointed by seeing that even some captains didn't even read the rules. Please, read it all.

Roster Rules
- Rosters are capped at 9 people as you are aware.
- Players MUST sign up with their community names ONLY. No roleplay names allowed.
- Must also use community faces rather than randomized ones OR you face punishment (refer to EGS Rules)
- Transfer deadline is set at 5pm (17:00 GMT) the day before every tournament . After that, not a SINGLE change will be allowed.
[close]
General Rules
- Melee speed will be set on medium.
- The only class allowed is the line infantry.
- You aren't allowed to spawn if you are not playing.
- All matches will be ft5, apart from the Quarter and Semi-Finals (Ft7) and the Final (Ft10).
- A good behaviour is expected. Insulting/toxicity will lead to 1 warning then a suspension from matches.
- Cheating once will result in a permanent ban of any future EGS tournaments.
- ID MUST be provided, if not, players with ID's missing won't be allowed to play. It can result in a temporary ban or even more.
[close]

Match Rules
- Once a match has been called, each team has ~5 minutes to get ready.
- If the first round is not started within ~5 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents.

- After each round, each team has ~1 minutes before they must have typed 'r' again.
- If the next round is not started within ~1 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents.

-The rules above are controlled by the referee - if the referee says ~5 or ~1 minutes is up, then the time is up.

-If there is clear delaying in a duel at the end of a round after 2 minutes then a warning to the fight will be given. If the player continues to delay or run from the duel then the admin can slay the player.

-In any case of a server crash/map change if it is to happen, then all current rounds WILL be VOIDED.

Introduction

Spoiler
Hello all! I'm glad to welcome all EGS readers and players. This Sunday, the battle for the League Two title will continue.
Over the past two weeks - a lot has changed: the team representing the North American region - RSL - left, in its place will play an experienced and quite interesting team under the name - "Diggers". They will be backed by some of the seasoned veterans from previous EGS seasons, and some players from some of the stronger teams in the First League.
The first League Two tournament of the season, with a six man vs. six man format. We will see where it takes us and what the results will be. Whether we have a repeat of the winner, how the teams perform in a different format for them, and how the new players perform, we will find out tomorrow. Let's keep our eyes open for developments.

Prediction

Spoiler
Since last year's tournament many teams have changed their line-up, which cannot but affect the overall result and team performance. Last season in league 2 we had a new winner every tournament, which made the tournament memorable and very entertaining. Will the teams be able to give us a new winner this time around? Let's find out. This time the teams are prepared more seriously and many teams have been actively preparing for the tournament than last time. Tomorrow we will see how the main substitutions will play out in terms of team results. Tomorrow we will see: Faisan for Jordan, Axuss for SubV and Mushypeas for Children of Chaos. Each of these substitutions will make a decisive difference in the teams' results, strengthening each of these three squads and helping them to overcome the first test - the "exit from the group" with the tough conditions - two out of four. Tomorrow's tournament is also not without its twists and turns and surprises. Today we are going to please with their game a "newly formed" team of strong players from different teams, including from the first league - "Diggers". This team's line-up inspires confidence and will be a challenge for the favourites tomorrow evening. The teams to beat tomorrow are: Impact, Guardians of Japan, of course Nr.59 and Lycoris. The format of the tournament, six against six, will allow the teams with the strongest line-ups to show their best performance, which will be an advantage for them. Teams with fewer experienced players in their line-ups will have a weaker result. The four teams listed above all have the strongest players in their squads and this will give their "Team Potential" the best of them tomorrow. The teams with fewer experienced players in their squads will have a more modest showing. The squads with only three or four experienced players out of six are likely to make it through the group, but will never make it past the first round of the play-offs. These teams will be: Seven Deadly Sins, Sherwood Foresters, RG and SubV with Amigos. The other teams, for whom the format is not "winnable" in this situation, will probably have trouble getting out of the group, if they make it at all. Such teams are: Children of Chaos, 1tesMB.

Players to watch out for

Spoiler
Without a doubt the main "stars" of tonight will be the "new" transfers, namely: Faisan, Axuss and major players from the team favorites namely: Fluffy, Shneider, Trexons, Tommy, Rikimaru, Rikus, Ratsu, Lama, Maxifighter and Vegi with R1bazZz.
No less interesting to watch will be the players: Tardet, pro100pro, Yovko, Anubis, browarx, StudioS and czRabixel. Each of these brave guys will give their best, giving the best result for their teams.
Good luck to all!

GG to all in our group and GoJP!

The server situation was really unfortunate, though. Of my 6 players, 3 had constant highping above 100, me included (except for the last minutes of playing, it got a bit better then). We figured it might be a German/Austrian problem in internal admin chat. It seems the server was restarted proberly before the event so I don't think the administration is to blame, it's just unlucky.

Good luck to the teams still playing!

Vegi purposely trolling the first tournament so everyone slept on Jordans in the second is pure mastermind at work

Props to Diggers for their show of force aswell, nothing short of impressive. The fact we got only one team from last edition that managed to reach the semi-finals a second time only strenghten the points made two weeks ago regarding how open & competitive League 2 is.

Props to everyone involved once again, server wasn't great as some people mentioned but personally it was playable and in no way an excuse for our poor showing.

Indeed GG Lama! Very unlucky but you guys were still hard to play against imagine if there was no issues then it would be really hard.

Review

Spoiler

Another League 2 tournament ended and alot has happend. The League 2 winner streak continues, teams playing under their expectations and other teams showing surpringly good form.

Group A was anticipated as the strongest group out of all from the Admin Team, which is why it got changed basically last second to make it more balanced. The last tournament winner Guardians of Japan successfully and convincingly advanced to knockout without dropping a single round. The last knockout spot was therefore in the first match up between SubV and Amigos. Amigos showing a poor and very disappointing form since tournament 1 lost this match up in once again a narrow 4-5 defeat plus loosing a big round advantage. Since 31stIN did not participate every team gained an automatic 5-0 win.

Group B was form-wise the best group. Three out of four teams advanced last tournament. 115e was the biggest loser in this group. Tournament favorite Impact topped the group with solid scores, Lycoris round the knockout spots convincingly up. Despite topping the group in the 5v5, 115e fell short in the 6v6 format which results in them falling behind in the tight amount of playoffs spots. KSA was placed last without a single win and only 2 rounds in their pocket.

Group C was the closest group out of all. Three out of four teams with a 2-1 record and the later tournament final teams being in this group. Sherwood Foresters missing out the knockout stage narrowly because of a worse round difference. A very one sides defeat against Diggers, a close win against 1tesMB and a surprise win against Jordan. Even though Jordan fell short against SF, they managed to beat Diggers but still ended up being second due their round difference. Diggers being the new kids on the block upsetted group D as the group winning team, only loosing to the later tournament winners Jordan, which they later met again.

In Group D Nr59 once again couldnt live up to the favorites role being placed second behind the once again surprise team RG which currently shows great form. Even though RG barely won their matches against Seven Deadly Sins and Children of Chaos they managed to win the 2-0 match convincing against Nr59. RG scratched through competition to take the highest spot. Seven Deadly Sins had a very disappointing results with a poor showing, loosing every match in this edition. A narrow defeat against group winners RG, a one sided affair against Nr59 and absolutely crushed by Children of Chaos in the 0-2 matchup.

New League 2 team Diggers already made impact in the group stage, their tournament run continued in knockout to beat Lycoris and upsetting tournament favorites GoJP to advance to the final. GoJP on the other hand won their quarter final match in expected fashin against Nr59. On the other side of the bracket Jordan successfully also went all the way to the final, convincingly beating Impact and SubV on their way. The surprise team RG fell short against SubV, which booked themselves a semi final spot against Jordan, which they ultimately lost. The Bronze match was a very one sides affair, GoJP crushing SubV to claim bronze. Jordan successfully defeated Diggers again, after already meeting in group stage, where Diggers took the first knockout seed. A successfull first EGS campaign ended for Diggers with silver, which is already enough to possibly be part of the soon comming playoffs tournament. Jordan became the second tournament winning team in this season, therefore they continued the already existing League 2 streak, in which every tournament saw a different winner.
