Welcome to the official post for this CR Term. Firstly, I just wanna say a massive thank you to all those who voted in the election. 113 registered voters took part in this year's election and that is a really huge amount. I am proud and honoured to be in this position and hope to do my part to make this community a great place for all!
As my manifesto said, I will mainly be focussing on providing servers for all areas of the community including public servers, so please get in touch if you're looking for a server! If anyone has an idea for an event but doesn't know how to host or is stuck, please feel free to contact me and I would be more than willing to provide any assistance or advice. CR does involve some moderation responsibilities so I will be undertaking those responsibilities as well.

I started hosting 92nd servers of a server box in Germany and then branched out to offering servers to projects and tournaments in the community. Its a side project that I've been running for a few months now and its just a little something that I can do to help give back to the community. There is no cost to any servers provided by myself as this is a side project.

In support of the NA community, I was going to host a fundraising tournament in support of Chantkey's go fund me. NAs are doing a duel tournament and I was going to do the same, but if anyone thinks another format would be better. Please let me know. I am open to all suggestions.

Hmm, I'm against a large format because then it could become more about the winning than the fundraising but if people would prefer something bigger that would encourage more sign ups then I'm all ears. An idea that floated around my head was like randomised 2v2/3v3 but that could be problematic.

This will be next Saturday the 15th of May. It will be at 8pm UK time to allow people to play regimental stuff and will maximise the number of sign ups. There will be a minimum donation required of $5 because it's for an American cause. This works out at around £3.50/€4 and its for a good cause so I would encourage people to cough up some spare change for it. Will be double elimination because that's what's hot right now and is more fun for a duel tournament. A proper thread will be published either tomorrow or Monday at the latest with sign ups and the other information.
I would encourage as many players to sign up as it's for a good cause, a bit of harmless fun and duel tournaments don't come up that often.

Yikes! I may have forgotten about this after an extremely busy work week. However, I would be down to play (and win) next Saturday if others were interested (you'd lose). Would still be for charity though ;D
Also the French server box is now set up as some people are aware, it is roughly double the size of the german server box so it's absolutely massive. It's the same panel so if you had one on each you would only need one access. If anyone needs anything in france or germany (or both) remember where I am. Already helped out a few reg's this week and always willing to help out more 8)

Side note: I've just broken the panel for the servers X)
Idk what I did wrong but servers do still be up and running at the moment, if this changes then I'll let everyone know. Might have to manually restart your servers (TNT spam) if they're not automatically set to do so ;)

Get the creators of the maps to place a prop that disenables tnt and the problem is gone.

In a joint effort with the 92nd, the 33rd and myself (CEO of Unicorn Servers), we'll be launching a brand new event for the whole NW community. This is a fully scripted event that would reinvent the linebattle and improve the casual scene. At the moment we're looking at a campaign style event that's held fortnightly/monthly depending on which would work best. This event will be largescale and will encourage teamplay! At the moment we're looking at 3 200 slot servers playing Line, Lights/Rifles and Cav, this means that we'll be casting a wide net in the amount of regiments that will play this event! Not only will the actions of your team mates on the same server affect you, the nation does as well. As in if you're on server 1 and server 2, your nation is getting battered, you'll have a challenge ahead of yourself. From private testing events, we've found it to be extremely great fun even for players that don't enjoy the casual scene as much.
So what's the event like? Well, it's like conquest except the flags are mobile. Each regiment will be assigned a unit to play as (42nd line, 33rd line etc). One player for each line would pick the ensign class and that would be your regiments spawn. It is important to pick the right unit otherwise you'll spawn on another reg's flag. This has a fully scripted ticket system where each player spawn costs 1 ticket, capturing a flag costs the enemy 20 tickets. When you die, you'll respawn on your flag so it is vital that you protect the flag but also keep enough players beside the flag so that it registers that the unit is still alive (I believe you need 4 players within 5 metres of the flag). Failing at any of these things would mean you spawn at the main spawn and would lose vital ground. From these test events we've seen shooting go on for 5 minutes where 2 lines get trading shots with the player coming back to all out melee that lasts around the same because the flag had been protected perfectly.
More information will be provided on the actual sign up thread, which will come soon and like I said, they'll be plenty of specialist slots for everyone ;)
