Title: Movement Keys?

Hey NW Community. I am pretty much the only person I know that still plays this game with having the melee settings (attacking and blocking) set to movement keys rather than by mouse. Is there anyone else that plays this way still? Even if not, what are your opinions of this style (advantages, disadvantages, etc)?

i'll quickly and clearly answer u. When u put it on movement key u literally lose all ur footwork skill cuz u use them to stab and a lot of ppl knows that footwork is so important in gfs, 1v1 and for meleeing in general. when u put it on ur mouse movement u clearly have a better control of all the patterns of the game AND u can have way better stab movement so u one shot easier. Basically i see no advantages of putting it in movement key and i see only advantages to put it on mouse movement  8)

I also use movement keys but I suck lol

I don't objectively think there is a single advantage to using it, it's just awkward. Even though I'm used to it I still find myself being in positions where I can't react to things properly or timely

I use it for blocking and mouse movement for attacking. Double uses it for both.

Wasn't expecting that! Tbh that's not a bad idea...

Also I don't know any competitive EU player that uses movement keys. But as RedFire said, I think you loose your footwork by doing that. But the good thing is that you have less chances of sideblocking.

movement has like 30 nw keys, he buys a new one from g2a for a buck everytime he gets banned from tropical paradise or groupfighting server

I block with Movement keys and play inverse Mouse Movement for Attack!
Blocking was easier for me at the beginning specially on Casual Line Battles where it was mostly bit laggy, now I'm too old to change to Mouse Movement it's programmed in my brain.
But if you really wanna become good at the game you should for sure play blocking with Mouse Movement.

movement keys attack direction is very viable with a sword, and can actually be rly good- cant really comment about bayonet.

I cant imagine blocking with movement keys is very good tho
