Chiefs vs packers will be my guess.   i can see saints, buccs making it as well.  Bills may not be a bad pick either.  Im not convinced about the browns or balti, but i guess you never know anymore.

That would be the dumbest move they could make. Kingsbury is my favorite coach in the NFL I would be ecstatic if the Jets ever got the chance to pair him up with a young QB.

The Cardinals are improving every year. Idk how he is "wasting Kylers potential" when they are winning football games. It's not like they are still winning 4 games a year.

not sure how closely you follow the headlines, but doug pederson is probably the worst candidate for any team developing a young QB

him and dan quinn both got carried by their OC during super bowl runs

Kliff Kingsbury is the future of the NFL. The man has an offense of Kyler Murray, Deandre Hopkins, Kenyan Drake, Christian Kirk, Chase Edmonds, Larry Fitzgerald, Dan Arnold. The defense has a lot of potential as well. They were just one game out from missing the playoffs and Kyler Murray put up close to MVP numbers. If you think they need to move on after a year like this, I have no idea what you expect.

Matt LaFleur is a great offensive mind as well. His brother Mike will be the Jets OC once we hire Saleh as head coach (hopefully)

I thought they’d run Henne up the middle with no linebackers but that was even better. No idea why Romo was so deadset on them just trying to draw them off and punt I thought that was an obvious go for it situation.

Hennething is possible

i thought romo was saying try to draw them off, then take a TO to use as much close as possible.  comeback after and run a real play.(or punt)

crazy playcall though. i doubt KC can win without mahomes.  he carries them so much.  I hope he can play next week.

I'm not surprised people are debating him to be a hall of famer but I think he deserves to get in. Top 5 in passing yards, TD & him never missing a game is pretty impressive. The media talks about him never playing in a super bowl but forgets that he had to play in the same conference as Peyton Manning, Big Ben, Tom Brady, Mahomes & Watson later in his career and the ravens amazing defenses.

That was honestly a great game by the refs. They let them play all game until the very end when they were forced to make a call on a clear as day terrible pass interference.

Also Mike Evans almost lost them the game. He dropped an easy pass that woulda pretty much iced it. Brady had a couple bad throws at the end there too. Best team won clearly.

Brady is the undisputed GOAT now (imo he has been since 2016).

Either let them play the whole game or call it consistently, also Rodgers shouldve kept on 3rd down, even if you don't score you make 4th & goal much easier. Matt Lefleur should've gone for it too, GB had many chances to win and blew it. The refs didn't help though.

They did let them play the entire game. But that last penalty was so obvious that they HAD to call it. If they didn’t call that last interference the whole crew would’ve been fired.

Rodgers definitely should’ve ran that ball. I was yelling at the screen to just take off. I don’t disagree with the philosophy of taking the 3, stopping the Bucs, and then going for the win. But in hindsight yeah should’ve just gone for it.
Title: Re: National Football League
Post by: Thunderstormer on January 25, 2021, 05:40:35 am
I didn't care for the call at the end of the GB Bucs game.  All game you let them play, including the interception on rogers.  Then you throw a super late flag at the end to decide it.

I agree Rodgers should of ran for it.  Both drives that ended in FG would of been TD with better throws or throwing to a wide open receiver.(lazard was wide open in the middle)

I expected the Bills KC game to be a lot closer.  Pretty chippy at the end.

Should be a good super bowl.  I think Mahomes will be the key decider.  If he is healthy and on top of his game, and the chiefs do not self destruct, they will win.   If Mahomes doesnt play great, Bucs win.

It was clearly PI but it was stupid how late the refs called it though. That WR would of caught it or at least had a chance if did dude didn't drag his jersey. My Super Bowl predictions came true!  8)

Rams got fleeced by the lions.

Detroit is dealing QB Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for two future first-round picks, a third-round pick and QB Jared Goff, per sources. Two former No. 1 overall picks trading places in the first blockbuster NFL trade of 2021.

I wonder what the odds are the bears make it to a super bowl in the next decade.  probably less than the lions.

would be interested for a chart on who you think are the best players for their value in the draft like you just said there

also yes Pitts is very good and will be good in the league. Trask isnt afraid to let it fly, Brett Favre type. But I dont think he will be Brett lol

Trask will be a good backup right away I think. He can sit and get experience for a year or two and then step up. Dudes only had one full whole year of starting including high school.

Also Pitts is #2 for me in terms of talent. Wouldn't take him over positional needs at the top of the draft, but I think I would take him ahead of the receivers if I needed a pass catcher.

In terms of talent, I'd say the top 5 are Trev, Pitts, Sewell, Farley, and Chase/Waddle(I honestly like them both I can't really pick who I would rather have). I do think Smith is the outright WR1 currently but if waddle never got hurt I can honestly say he wouldn't have won the Heisman.
Chase to the bengals :0

jk they need O Line recievers are the only depth they have

they will either take Sewell or Slater i might favor slater cus i feel he is an outright starter instantly but Sewell has the potential to be amazing. maybe I'm biased cus I've seen Slater do work against chase young
If Sewell played this year I don’t think it’d even be a discussion. Slater is undersized too.

This could be the first top 10 with no defensive players taken in as long as I can remember. Micah Parsons is a top 5 talent I think.

I've noticed that his stock has gone down some and I don't really know why but I do think he is a very talented player and could go top 10
Heard he might have “character concerns” but I don’t see it.

After seeing some tape of Parsons he definitely is NOT a top 5 prospect at all. He literally doenst play as a LB is supposed to play, he just tries to gets away of the OL/TE by going around them, but as soon as an OL puts his arms on him, he is out of the play. Has potential to become a "Devin White" type of player, but currently he is far from that.

so is he a DT or is he devin white? devin white is known for running sideline to sideline and tackling all over the field not blowing up offensive tackles that are 50+ pounds bigger than him.

Devin White plays physical, Parsons does not. I do not pretend Parsons to be some sort of Ray Lewis, but you are not gonna be a top LB in the NFL if you cant shed blockers, not to mention his zone coverage skills...

Dont get me wrong, he is a great player to develop, has the physical trait and great instincts, but i cant see an impact player there, specially if he arrives on a team that struggles against the run.

Yeah forgot to mention him. God I’m gonna miss this defensive line. Super stacked. Wish Rousseau played this season. Would’ve made a big difference up front. Wish Roche had similar production to when he was at Temple.

Speaking of Miami, Brevin Jordan is my second best TE in this class. He has been the best player on the offense the last two seasons. He will be the next Miami tight end to have a successful career in the league.

So before anyone judges my opinion I wanna clarify I'm from EU watching the NFL for like 5-6(?) years now being a 49ers Fan. I dont hate Jimmy G, I do realize he is injury prone and might not be a Top 10 QB, but do you think they should move on from him? I personally think he might just need a legit O-Line - he has good Receivers in Deebo and Aiyuk and obv Kittle - and the Defense should still be elite despite the loss of Saleh when also considering that Bosa will come back.

Lookinhg forward to 2021 season  ;D

I don't blame him for the 49ers struggling. They just keep getting injured and the one year they weren't they went to the Super Bowl. If they can stay healthy they will have a good shot to make it back to the super bowl.

thats a bit much i think lol

there are currently only 8 tight ends in the hall of fame...

Jets gonna get Thuney, Golladay, Jonnu Smith in FA. I’m hoping for Curtis Samuel as well he’d fit right in to our new offense.

Justin Fields at #2 and Jaelen Phillips or any edge rusher available at #23 and we are set.

Speaking of Cam Newton, Trey Lance has his pro day today. Patriots should trade up for this guy. Let him sit behind Cam for a year and he will be a monster.

Wish he was running his 40 today but smart of him not to.

Lance could be a Cam Newton type player except Cam looks like he's 40 pounds heavier than everyone trying to tackle him

Yeah I would say he’s more of a Ryan Tannehill right now. Josh Allen, Cam Newton are two others I’d say he could be like also.

Jonnu is great, and Godchaux is quite good against the run. Mills is trash but they got him cheap at least.
Problem is giving 39M guaranteed to an ok rusher.

I don’t mind it honestly because Wino and our other previous draft picks aren’t gonna cut it for rushing the passer. I think they’re gonna use Mills at safety or on TEs, last year with the eagles he balled out at safety but ye before that at corner he was burnt toast. Now we signed 2 decent receivers in Bourne and  agolohor to pair with Edelman and Meyers.

Nike the dog is the true mastermind, im rootin for the pats in the AFC this year

BRUH now we got hunter Henry we bout to run the 2 TE system like when we had Gronk and Hernandez or Gronk and Martellus Bennett

Cam is still a below average QB at the end of the day. They should’ve went after Trubisky as a backup with potential. I think they should get Mariota for some competition and a solid backup/fringe starter.

Cam is about to have a big year, if you look at the stats then he sucks but if you actually watched him play he was doing it all on that team (and the O-Line)

his best reciever was an injured 34 year old quarterback from Kent State

raiders gm is a lunatic who values his own evaluations over other draft ‘experts’

like them taking josh jacobs hella early and ruggs before ceedee lamb, jerry jeudy and justin jefferson last year

iirc they took a DE in the top 5 that most had valued around a 2nd rounder, and he ended up being terrible

Yeah Mayock seems to like the Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State guys a lot more than any other schools. When the Raiders have a favorite guy they’re gonna go out and get him, which I respect, but ultimately it is yet to be seen how it will work out.

Leatherwood is a good prospect tho. Going into this season he was a first round prospect and people thought he could be an early second rounder or sneak into the late first for most of the college season. He kinda got overshadowed by the other tackles in this class, but Mayock liked him and took his guy.

It was their second year with Kyler and Kliff in the hardest division in football. Lots of people were not expecting them to be that great. They were supposed to finish last in the division this year lol. I think people are gonna expect a lot out of them now cause of the success the Bengals have had in their second year with Burrow.

Sorry it was their third year I was focused on the second year of Burrow point. Most people don’t have such early success is what I’m getting at. But yeah my point still stands they were expected to finish last in the division this season and had a chance at the #1 seed if Kyler never gets injured.

idk it seems he was almost right so far

Odell takes it easily if he doesn’t get hurt I still think. Rams win by double digits if he never goes down. Whole offense was stagnant the rest of the game until the last drive when Stafford and Kupp stepped up. If Odell doesn’t go down I literally win all my bets tonight but I’ll take all the other stuff

The Bengals need to replace the entire O-Line after that game.

And thus a new meme was born. But for real Bengals were able to just play man and double Kupp and absolutely killed the Rams offense after OBJ went down. Logan Wilson played his ass off for the Bengals tonight too. Eli Apple gotta get replaced. Bengals gonna be good next season too but sucks to miss this chance. Never know if you’re gonna get here again or not.

Despicable game, the entire team EXCEPT TLaw just laid down and took it. Looked so fucking bad. And our poor prince got hammered and nearly fucked his knee up and yet he still came back without missing a snap and tried to carry these fuckwads. Our defense needs to be sent to the fucking gulag. God damn I cant wait for Ridley to arrive next season...
