League starts Wednesday. (August 21st)
The first match week will run for a week and a half until August 31st. The rest of the match weeks for the season are 1 week in length.
Matches will be played TWICE a week. (2 "rounds" on challonge)

After further review and result of the poll,
NWDL administration will no longer be able to block trades if both captains agree to the trade
NWDL will be allowed to block the trade only if the team captain is trying to purposely make bad trades to throw the league.

Player Suspension
Last night during an official league matchup between Aces and Hellraisers, player Squirts/Foofs steam called Yoloswag, Hellraisers' captain. This occurred during a very close match and caused Hellraisers to lose the round. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated in this league and so as punishment and to be sure this will not happen again the NWDL staff have decided to suspend player Squirts/Foofs from Aces for 4 matches.

Player Suspension Update
Upon discussion with NWDL staff and Squirts himself, we have decided to reduce his suspension to 2 matches. Squirts/Foofs shows remorse for his actions, apologized, and has handled his suspension with the utmost maturity. With this display the mods felt a 4 match suspension to be a little harsh.

Match Extension
Comets and Hellraisers failed to play their match within the match week time. This was not made clear as to why by either Captain and so instead of a forfeit the match will be extended 1 week in which they must schedule and play the match otherwise the match will most likely result in a draw if both teams cannot find a set date to play on.

Player Rafael of Minutemen has left the league for undisclosed reasons. With this Minutemen has received their waiver wire pick first and select ghostrider7811 from free agency.

Minutemen have left the League. Ghostrider, Glenn, James, Fartknocker and Pinoy have been added to the free agent pool.

VetroG has left the league and in turn the Kingsmen will receive their waiver pick first. With their pick they have chosen Pinoy from free agency.

The draft night has happened and the captains have picked their teams and drafted their teams of 10! Check out the results here.
If you did not get drafted then I am very sorry as you will be in the free agent pool, we may have an seperate option in the form of an undrafted team so stay tuned for that possibly. I hope you make an effort to improve yourself by involving yourself further within these kinds of events.

Announcement
After some complaints about the amount of players left undrafted and in the free agent pool, we looked over our options to see what be could done. What we have come up with for you undrafted players is a brand new team of your own to further develop yourself as a player by participating in scrims against the current teams we have in the league.
Not only does this team provide more "practice" for the main league teams, it provides practice for the newer players of the league that have yet to showcase what they can do in a competitive environment.
So please welcome this new practice squad/team to the league!
