Hello all,
It is with some pain that I announce my resignation as Head Moderator of this forum. Ever since I was a moderator under Blobmania, and later as a Head Moderator, I have worked to make this forum the best possible place it could be. I am proud to say that I was in charge of some important changes, like the Community Representative, the introduction of subboards for events and a fair few other changes. I know that many of you not always agreed with my decisions, but I look back with confidence in all I did and decided.
I am unable to dedicate the time this forum and its members need and deserve from a Head Moderator. I ought to admit that I have been for some time now, but I continued as Head Moderator as best as I could. I did not want to leave this forum without a suitable replacement. I care strongly about this forum and its community, and I did not want to leave it 'unguarded'. Some development, both negative and positive, both on the forums and in my personal life, have led me to, finally, taking this decision.
To make at least sure bans can still be issued, I will make Thunderstormer and MrTiki Senior Moderators until the Developers decide otherwise.
I leave it entirely up to the Developers how they want to proceed, either naming a new Head Moderator or leaving the position vacant and taking the responsibility themselves. I will not be a part of the process, nor will I be part of the Forum Administration Team in any capacity. I will still be active on the forum from time to time, but purely on a personal basis.
Serving as Head Moderator was a pleasure, and taught me a great deal. Thank you all for that experience.

It takes a lot of time out of a day to moderate a sub-board, let alone an entire forum. I did not see this coming but I wish you the best moving forward, Duuring. You were an active head moderator and one of the moderators who actually checked on the forum's community on a regular basis. We will see ya around still. Life goes on and it requires change, your service and impact as head moderator here will not be forgotten.

Certainly had some disagreements but thank you for committing all the time and effort to the position and being a pretty good mod overall (especially by web forum standards)

FSE (Olafson) the only active person has made me mod many a time, Duuring removed me as mod many a time because he has an issue with me. Nothing more nothing less. The admining on FSE has lead to this decline in people using the forums for years.
I've never had an issue with duuring and have been civil for years but everything came to a point.

I removed you as a moderator because you are a shit moderator. The fact that you even come into this thread, after my resignation, to criticise me and defend yourself, show that you are utterly incapable of professional conduct. You do whatever you wish and hold yourself to no standards whatsoever. And when you receive backlash, you scream that everybody is taking the game and the forum too serious. Please Marks. If there's anyone taking this thing too serious, we both know it's you. With your actions, you have reached a level I have not witnessed in all my years as moderator.
Of course you're banned now, but knowing you, you have already made a fake IP adress and a new account. So I'm sure you will be able to read this.

A moderator that makes decisions based on popular opinion, and not fact, is no moderator at all.
Thankfully, you were not one of them. I've seen people bitch and scream about the things you've done and they didn't even consider that you were protecting the very thing they hold sacred. Now at the end of it, they realize that you really were a fair person. More than fair, more than many people deserved. A bit of maturity goes a very long way in this community. You, Duuring, were truly a great moderator.
