What is this mod?

After two years, it's finally here, an update to the Anglo Zulu War. This mod is a total overhaul of Anglo Zulu war, rebuilt from the ground up. It aims to to be completely superior to the previous Anglo Zulu War while offering the familiar fun gameplay of fighting off endless Zulus.

The setting, if you're interested

The Anglo-Zulu War was fought in 1879 between the British Empire and the Zulu Kingdom. Following a campaign by which Lord Carnarvon had successfully brought about federation in Canada, it was thought that similar combined military and political campaigns might succeed with the various African kingdoms, tribal areas and Boer republics in South Africa. In 1874, Sir Henry Bartle Frere was sent to South Africa as High Commissioner for the British Empire to bring the plans into being. Among the obstacles were the presence of the independent states of the South African Republic and the Kingdom of Zululand and its army. Frere, on his own initiative, without the approval of the British governmen and with the intent of instigating a war with the Zulu, had presented an ultimatum on 11 December 1878, to the Zulu king Cetshwayo with which the Zulu king could not comply. Cetshwayo did not comply and Bartle Frere sent Lord Chelmsford to invade Zululand.The war is notable for several particularly bloody battles, including a stunning opening victory by the Zulu at Isandlwana, as well as for being a landmark in the timeline of imperialism in the region.  The war pitted British troops equipped with Single shot breech loading Martini-Henry rifles, against vastly greater numbers of Zulu warriors, armed with short stabbing spears and cowhide shields. The Zulus were no savages though, having an organised system of supply and strategic tactics. The war eventually resulted in a British victory and the end of the Zulu nation's independence.

Gameplay changes

- Based on player vs bots from the ground up, rather than PVP
- Maps with proper AI meshes, bots will follow you through buildings etc
- Easier to kill bots, high accuracy and better melee skill for British
- Zulus are powerful in numbers rather than skill
The idea is to make it so that you compete with your teammates to kill the most Zulus

All the other units are the same as in the current Anglo Zulu war mod, which have been reworked, but some new units have been added. These are

- Natal Native Contingent (Warrior, Rifleman, Cavalry)

Where the British Ford the river (can't remember its name) and enter Zululand.
-There's basically the British supply train on a flat plain on one side while on the other it's a rocky, forested slope where there was a small skirmish getting into Zululand.

A lot of people get the texture glitch, looking into it. Not sure what causes it, but luckily it doesnt last long. It seems to be related to lag and the the zulus. Tabbing out or fiddling with your options seems to make it go.

I think if someone gets shot, or hurt in a any way, the start to bleed to death, until a medic hits him with a bandage.

Some maps should be made harder for the players. Ambush is really the only map I like. Simply because its quite a challenge.
On the majority of the other maps the maps are to open. All you have to do on those maps is simply aim for the blob.

Perhaps if you could increase the heights of the landscapes, - as some maps are quite flat (a simple solution) or create other natural elements that would increase the cover for the zulu's. So the Zulu's pop up at a much closer range, instead of shooting them at their spawn. It would definitely be much harder. -  This could also decrease the amount of bots needed to make it a challenge. -> Less FPS lagg for those who don't have amazing PC's.

Honestly, I don't mind playing against tons of bots. However when it gets to the point were the aiming animations don't work properly anymore I start seeing the downside of it. Which is a shame, as it is a great mod.

I've been playing as the medic recently, but when I hit them with the bandage, it sometimes does not stop the bleeding. They end up dying because of it. I have nightmares about it  :'(

T'Would be nice if the UK had some form of flagbearing unit. Perhaps adding Lieutenant T.Melville to the staff character would do. Or add an option for the 24ths officer to choose between one item and the colours.

I don't know why but for some reason i can't get past "loading textures" when the mod is loading. I've reinstalled twice with a different mod link.
Don't know the cause of that, possibly incomplete download.
Anyone have a problem with flashy boxes? Also an annoying red code? Always happens witese particular models.
Flashy flashy white boxy glitches. Only thing I know to do is wait for the round to finish or come back.
Haven't had anyone report the red code. Never seen it myself. For the flashing glitch, it happens less if your settings are turned down, and when you do get it, try tabbing out, or fiddling with your graphics settings, just messing with them seems to make it go quicker.
T'Would be nice if the UK had some form of flagbearing unit. Perhaps adding Lieutenant T.Melville to the staff character would do. Or add an option for the 24ths officer to choose between one item and the colours.
I left them out this time on the basis that It's very hard to find colours for each regiment, especially the lesser known ones, and that no one ever used them in the previous mod. Sorry about that.

Yeah, the red code thing happens only with those specific models. But they've stopped now, hopefully.

Awesome update for a great mod.

One little bug though. When you use the reload boxes, your hat/head wear dissapears :P.

The weird texture/lighting glitch also appears to happen in the War of 1812 Mod. Seems to happen when you look at a light source ie the sun.

I was gonna say for it to be worth more points, but people will use it up for TNT, and no defences, I think removing them is better, a lot better. Besides, we've got hand held dynamite.

ok now for the staff special charecters, i like to use these. Bromhead, Chrd and Sgt Bourn.

now the Sgt and Bromhead sounds are correct, but when i tried Chard and pressed C , his voice was the sgt Bourns ??

any ideas >??

but a player next to me who was Chard, i heard him when he pressed C and he was in fact Chard ....

Is there anything i have to do to the voices ?
