It originally aired on a kids channel, so I suppose so. But the quality of writing is extremely good, the story is interesting and the characters are likeable and unforgettable. It's also just a cool concept for a show.

Cartoons aren't unwatchable just because they're aimed at a younger audience. Shows like Spongebob and some others from Cartoon Network were really well made and are still enjoyable to watch, even if just for old times sake.

I know, just saying saw my nephew who is 7 super excited over it, I didnt find it interesting ;/.. at least Spongebob is a comedy at best where when we are older we can see the highly racially-driven show it really is ;p  The only not really kids, but has cartoon elements in it tv show I enjoyed watching was Arrow ;p

I guess maybe it would be difficult to get into if you hadn't watched it as a kid. Again, one of the main reasons I love watching cartoons is for nostalgia value. They're still good, but I also just like reminiscing over old episodes that were especially rememberable, or rediscovering old things that I had forgotten about. And another thing is that the writers of shows like this often include elements that children would find hard to understand, and so it's interesting to go back and see things that went over your head when you were younger.

Like that episode when Aang is hallucinating from lack of sleep and that was hilarious.

Was my favorite show when I was younger. I was quite sad when it stopped  :'(

I never got into the legend of Korra tho I liked the original series better.

I wished they could have show more scenes on the old avatar team when they are all grown-ups, only got a few hints what they might have been doing all these years. Little or nothing is mentioned about Suko and anyone else still wondering whether he manage to locate his mother? You know what I mean from the last episode I think where he visits his father in the prison questioning about his mothers whereabouts.

Well, if you want to buy it, just google Avatar comics and you'll hit the jackpot. If not...I'm not allowed to say anything beyond this point  :P

They should make an Avatar with the storyline surrounding an avatar of a past life, like Roku :D
