I agree to that! I know the Brits already have a lot of heavy cav but Scots Greys are so awesome! It was kind a disappointment to not have them in the game as they where in MM.

The Light Dragoons aren't awful, but they're in an awkward place, it'd be nice to have an actual unit of light, melee centred cavalry for the British.
It's not like they didn't have them, 4 Hussar Regiments and the KGL Hussar Regiments as well.

The Hussars (generally) were all Light Dragoon regiments (at least, in the KGL they were) and were renamed and adopted new uniforms. That's all.

Yes, they were essentailly 'fashionable' Light Dragoon Regiments, but the British initially formed light dragoon regiments to be their answer to the Hussars used on continental Europe. There's not that big a difference, technically, hussars should even have guns, but that would make them OP.

I Concur ... it needs lancers or Hussars.

Considering lancers are only 1 year out ... its not a far stretch ... if Historical accuracy is mentioned then ... you need to find a new game, NW is far from Historical or realism accuracy.

In my mod "La Belle Alliance" (click on my signature for more details) I plan to give guns to the British dragoons (not just the light dragoons) and to add the KGL hussars to the British as well as possibly adding the 2nd Scot's Greys.

The silly thing is that British Hussars were armed with carbines just like the light dragoons, so really it's just that British Light dragoons need a buff.
