How do you eat snails?

I was trying to learn more about the French people so I watched the film Ratatouille. In the cinema it said the French eat snails. The film did not specify how you eat a snail.

How does one eat a snail?

I can't tell you, you would be disgusted.Btw we eat this kind of food for Christmas and I hate that ^^

It is necessary to remove water and dirt snails, we put them in the oven with special butter!

It is very good! you already ate clams and other seafood? this is almost the same
