Alistair's Reskin for the 7th Regiment of Militia (Centre, Grens, Light and Commander)
Spoiler
Voor Vaderland en Oranje

This reskin replaces the 33rd Regiment of Foot, 2nd Coldstream and 51st on the UK faction with the corresponding Centre, Grenadier and Light companies of the 7th Regiment of Militia as well as the flags. It also replaces Arthur Wellesly with the Duke of Orange. The skins are historically accurate within reason. I have even added the motto of the regiment to their shako plate. "Voor Vaderland en Oranje."

Hello again. This is an editted version of a reskin made by manicdefender (ex-CSgt of the 33rd) for our regiment. I have made a number of changes to it and now I am releasing it here for you all to enjoy. :) This will replace the current 33rd with a better looking newer version circe 1815, the 2CSG with the 33rd Grenadier Company and the 51st with the Light Company to give a full Regiment. Wellington is replace with a Colonel for the 33rd and the Sapper is reskin too. The appropriate changes have been made to the colours and they also show the slogons of our regimental companies on them.

By early March 1815, the regiment was again under the command of the Duke of Wellington, this time during the Hundred Days campaign of Napoleon. Having taken part in the action of the previous day, at the Battle of Quatre Bras, they took part in the action at Waterloo; the 33rd was part of the 5th Brigade under the command of Major General Sir Colin Halkett.

Alistair's reskin for the 42nd Regiment of Foot (Centre).
Spoiler
Bydan!

I have reskined the 42nd Regiment of Foot to give an accurate representation of how the centre companies of the Regiment looked at Waterloo. The current in game units are men of the grenadier company with a number of inaccuracies.

Originally this ranker was a ranker of the 42nd Gren Company. I have removed the wings and changed the plume colour so the uniform represents that of the Centre Company. I have removed the sporrans as they were not worn at Waterloo.
Ranker
[close]
This was called an ensign. The unit in game was actually a lieutenant of the centre company with a bed sheet wrapped round him, a 1700s style brass plate round his neck and the symbol of the 2nd Coldstream on his shoulder!?! I have editted it so it closely resembles a sergeant of the 42nd Centre Companies at Waterloo.
Sergeant

This was an officer of grens not centre so I have editted it to be a centre officer. I have also removed the bed sheet and brass plate and replaced them with the correct shoulder piece (with no footguard symbol) and the British army regulation sash.

The original drummer was just wrong... I don't know why fse thought the piping was yellow... So I have completely pain stakenly redone it so it is now correct for a 42nd Black Watch musician. :)

The single battalion 42nd fought at the chaotic Battle of Quatre Bras on 16 June 1815 and was one of four battalions mentioned in despatches by Wellington. Two days later at the Battle of Waterloo, the 42nd and also the 2nd/73rd Highlanders, which was later to become the new 2nd Battalion, Black Watch, were both in some of the most intense fighting in the battle and lost 289 men.

Rule Britannia!

This is a reskin that will replace the 95th Rifles with the 52nd Light Infantry. It includes a ranker, sergeant, lieutenant, bugler and a volunteer soldier. The random trousers that the 95th Rifles have in NW allowed me to make it so that you sometimes spawn with the uniform of a 52nd Volunteer rather than ranker. There are also two types of shako to represent the two different type worn by the 52nd. A shako with gold plate and wool plume and a shako with silver plate and feather plume.

The commander unit and the sapper unit are also replaced. :) This reskin aims to be as historically accurate as possible.

Alistair's 41st Centre Company Reskin:
Spoiler
His Britannic Majesty's 41st Regiment of Foot!

I present to you a reskin for the first infantry unit of the UK faction to a Centre Company of the 41st Regiment of Foot. The orginal 41st Gren retexture was made by Kochi and can be found here: https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=3563.msg158591#msg158591

I have made various changes with Kochi's permission such as removing the wings from the rankers and creating new textures for the officers, sergeants and musicians. (Also smoothed out Kochi's bump map so the shako plate doesn't blind you. :P )

There are two version of this skin. One which is historical to the early months of the 1812 war, as Kochi's was, and one which is historical to the later months of the Napoleonic Wars which is the setting for the game. The 1812 version will replace legs on various units on the British and French faction which, though not intentional, gives a nice early war look to some other units. :) This was made for Charles Alten.

Alistair's reskin for 42nd Regiment of Foot.

Based on the uniforms found from centjours.mont-saint-jean.com I have come up with what I believe to be a historical representation of the 42nd Regiment of Foot as they appeared at Waterloo. All three companies are represented as are a Major of the regiment and the drum major. The 33rd, original 42nd and 51st are replaced as is Wellington. I have reused my earlier reskin. Enjoy! :)

Oh thanks! Nice link. I didn't have that when I made these skins.

But I think you'll agree I was pretty close.  8) Apart from the wings of course. Also from another picture I found the different companies had different shako plumes... Maybe it was wrong.

n 1793 the 'Honourable Arthur Wesley', third son of the Earl of Mornington, the future Duke of Wellington, purchased a 'Majority' in the 33rd.

By 1794 the 33rd was under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel (promoted to full Colonel in 1797) Arthur Wellesley. They took part in the disastrous Flanders Campaign and the retreat from Germany, and embarked, from Bremen, for England on 13 April 1795.

In 1799 the regiment took part in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War in a Division commanded by Colonel Arthur Wellesley, as part of a British East India Company army, commanded by Major General Harris, with Major General Sir David Baird as second in command. Arthur's eldest brother Richard Wellesley, 2nd Earl of Mornington, later 1st Marquess Wellesley, had just become Governor General of India. So in addition to the 33rd, Arthur, who had now become Colonel Arthur Wellesley, was given command of the 10,000 men of the Nizam of Hyderabad.[10] They had a decisive part to play in the Battle of Seringapatam. The regiment, involved in bitter fighting with the Tippu Sultan's warriors, were repulsed with heavy losses when they attacked a wood, which was strongly defended by the Sultan's forces. The 33rd rallied and fought further actions throughout the battle, with the British emerging decisively victorious and the Tippoo Sultan being killed. The regiment won a battle honour for its involvement in the action.
