There weren't, at least not officially. Though I have heard stories of loose scattered units (probably no bigger than a platoon/company) of marines on the allied side, but it's not confirmed.

That's what I thought... still at least Dutch is closer than the usual Maltese marines I've seen there! :P

I'm just worried there's gonna be a shit tonne of Russian Regiments wanting to take part in it all of a sudden

Joer does Marines 1807 and his group is going as that to Waterloo, but with Orange cockades. It's certainly not historical accurate, but personally I don't care (although I do think historical accurate impressions should be granted priority).

I would, but I'm fairly sure that showing any form of graphic record of it is against forum policies.

Ahh gotcha. i've got nothing against it by all means, the Dutch were there in force, and I have read reports of some marines being there on the allied side so that sits with me :)

Well, Dutch marines at Waterloo are always more historically accurate than some American 1812 unit in Europe.

I remember seeing a US 1812 impression at photo's from Leipzig last year. Because the Americans were present at the Battle of the Nations!

I agree. One thing that makes me laugh is British units who do war of 1812 who are some of the most anal units going... won't go to any bicentennary commemoration if they weren't there... but are perfectly happy to do war of 1812 despite their battalion not being there
