EVENT RULES
What is FiC?
Fire in Charge (along with FoL/RoL) is strictly forbidden on this event, so we will make it clear what admins consider slayable FiC. Of course this does not apply to units which are under some conditions allowed to FiC/FoL/RoL (artillery guard near cannon or fort and special zones on the map). No member of your unit may fire if:
- At least one member of your unit is in some sort of melee
(facing an enemy, performing melee animation or just maneuvering) - At least two members of your unit are clearly in melee mode
(performing melee animation with enemies anywhere near) - Your unit is on the move towards enemies
Garrison rules
Some custom maps have sections where FiC/FoL/RoL is allowed for all classes (unless Allcharge). Ramboing is still not allowed (unless last defender), only whole squads may take advantage of such areas.
- For areas with any sort of man-made borders (fence, wall, ruined fence/wall),
individual players who are inside the fenced areas may FiC/FoL/RoL - This may include channels, rivers and roads,
if announced by admins - For buildings without a fence,
individual players who are inside the building may FiC/FoL/RoL
General rules
- No chat spam and excessive insults.
- No damaging or hindering regiments and players in your team on purpose.
- Maximum number of members for cavalry and artillery is 15, all others have no limit.
- No ramboing, if less than 3 and not in melee you must retreat towards a friendly line,
and may only fight in self defence. - No firing in charge, no reloading in charge.
- No firing or reloading out of formation, 3 is minimum to make a formation.
- Formation can be any sort of skirmish formation as long as everyone are within spacing.
- Everyone are allowed to crouch and climb objects.
- Inf and cav OA gets a revive, unless the officer is in charge, or was shot from less than 20 meters away.
- Only officer class is considered an officer.
- Officer may fire and reload pistol in charge, unless during allcharge.
- During allcharge, everyone may only use melee weapons.
- Please leave any prolongued arguments with admins for after the event.
Infantry rules
- May be in skirmish formation of up to 5 men spacing.
- May crouch during shootout.
Cavalry rules
- No mixing of cavalry classes within same company.
- If dismounted in a fight, may only fight in same engagement, or defend yourself,
otherwise immediately retreat to a friendly line or towards available horse. - If less than 3 while in a fight, you may continue fighting in 20 men radius,
until there are no more enemies in that radius. - If less than 3 while in a fight with cavalry, may pursue the same cavalry
without attacking other regiments, and you may defend yourself from other cavalry. - If less than 3 in any other case, you must retreat to a friendly line and dismount.
- Dragoons may fire from horseback only in a stationary straight line formation.
- During allcharge, cavalry must dismount,
if more than 10 men have died that round in total.
Artillery rules
- Artillery projectiles may officer aim.
- One sapper per artillery company.
- Lone artillery guard may fire and reload anywhere within 10 men spacing of cannons or fort.
- Lone artillery guard may melee anywhere within 10 men spacing of cannons or fort.
- For above rules to apply, the fort must be built within 10 men spacing from cannons.
- For any other type of engagement, artillery guards must form or join a proper line,
and same rules as for line infantry apply. - Admin word is final on types of and number of artillery pieces allowed.
Regimental leaders guidelines
- Please discourage any rule breaking among your men.
- Feel free to complain to admins, but if there is a need for any
prolonged discussion, please leave it for after the event is over. - If you must cancel your regiment's attendance for one event or permanently,
please let the head admins know as soon as possible.
