Friendly Suggestion to making ragdolls tangible for melee
« on: June 11, 2013, 06:35:44 pm »
So, I believe many in NW would support this.

Basically, in melee right now, if one player kills another the corpse immediately become a rag doll that objects can pass through. By objects, I really mean bayonets. So in many groupfighting situations such as the linebattles my regiment constantly fights in, there ends up being a TK or 2 or 10, due to this strange little thing. I've ignored it and thought of it as a general Warband technicality, however it has lately come to my attention that CRPG has countered this by making the corpse a tangible object which the weapons bounce off of.
If you fine gentlemen down at HQ could integrate this feature this can increase realism along with playability.

I hope you all consider this feature.

Agreed
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

But it's always a laugh when you stab your friend through the body of the enemy he just impaled!

Couldn't agree more, been tked so many times from this.
In theory we could do huge player numbers far over 500 players per server...  As such we will surely keep our promise to deliver you the 500 players per server.

We will probably go (far) over it, but that's for later.

As much as this would be nice, I'm pretty sure it's not possible in the M&B engine.

Yes, I am quite pessimistic 8 in the morning...

I haven't played crpg so I don't know, but does it also count as an object for ranged attacks? Because if they did, then double ranks wouldn't be as bad as they are, front would remain as cover for the duration of an enemy volley.
