Welcome to the official thread of Kennedy 8v8 Tournament. For this edition of the 8v8 Tournament, I will be joined by Gontank which will help me as a co-host.

Event Date and Time: Sunday the 13th of March - 8:00pm GMT

A steam group invite will be sent to captains and referees in order to supply the details for the tournament. If you do not receive an invite or miss it, contact Kennedy or Gontank and ask for an invite.
Rules

Roster Rules: - 1.1 Roster limit is set to 11 players per team. - 1.2 Players MUST sign up with their community names in addition to roleplay names. Both MUST be specified. - 1.3Roster edit deadline is set at 7:00pm (19:00) GMT the same day (Sunday the 13th of March). After that, not a single change will be allowed. [close]

General Rules: - 2.1 Melee speed will be set on medium. - 2.2 Bayonet players must use the line infantry class. - 2.3 You aren't allowed to spawn if you are not playing. - 2.4 All matches will be ft5, apart from the semi-finals (ft7) and the finals (ft10). - 2.5 Good behaviour is expected. Insulting/toxicity will lead to 1 warning then a suspension from matches. - 2.6 Same Faces in a team are NOT allowed. - 2.7 ID MUST be provided. Players with ID's missing won't be allowed to play. Match Rules: - 3.1 Once a match has been called, each team has 5 minutes to get ready. - 3.2 Once typed 'r' and the referee has said 'go', the round CANNOT be voided. - 3.3 In any case of a server crash/map change if it is to happen, then all current rounds WILL be VOIDED. [close]

M&B: Warband - Napoleonic Wars / The Kennedy 5v5 French Tournament [FT 1er, Grouped 2e, Tba 3e]

Tournoi entre fr au format 5v5. Le tournoi se déroulera sous forme de League pour que chaque équipe montre son plein potentiel. Le tournoi ce déroulera sur les serveurs du IVe corps.
Il débutera a 21h heure française. Les Roster devrons être complet 3h avant le tournoi. Cash Prize de 100€ environs ( 30€ de gimli et 75€ de Kennedy)

Règles roster: 7 personnes par roster. Interdit d'être dans 2 rosters Les joueurs doivent être francophone ( pour les étrangers, chaque cas sera étudier pour savoir si ils sont apte a participer) [close]

règle du tournoi: le tournoi se déroulera en FT7. format 5v5. Chaque joueur doit jouer avec le nom sous lequel il s'est inscrit. Le Tag du joueur devra contenir le nom de son équipe Seul la classe d'infanterie de ligne est autorisé, marin interdit. Baïonnette uniquement. Le round commence que quand les 2 capitaines ont inscrit R dans le chat. Pas d'insulte, n'y troll, etc. [close]

M&B: Warband - Napoleonic Wars / Pontonnier de la Garde [RGL/FR]

En 1812, alors que Napoleon Ier, Empereur des français mène la campagne de son destin en Russie, faisant face aux cosaques, à l'Armée Russe qui ne cesse de fuir le combat
et à un hiver rude où les températures frôlent les -30°C, la Bataille de la Bérézina résonna à travers l'Europe comme un coup de tonerre. Ayant perdu plus de 20 000
combattants lors de la bataille, l'Armée française y a subi un terrible bilan humain, notamment dû au fait que la Bérézina, fleuve russe, dû être traversé parfois à la nage
suite au manque de ponts pour y faire traverser l'Armée!

L'Histoire nous enseigne toujours les terribles errements des plus grands Hommes comme autant de leçons à retenir afin de les corriger dans le futur!
C'est ainsi que lors de la campagne de France en 1814, malgré la défaite française, on dénombre aucun mort pour cause de manque de ponts! AUCUN!
Et pour cause, une troupe d'élite fut mise sur pied afin de ne plus jamais revivre les images atroces de soldats français avinés réalisant une parfaite nage du caillou en
traversant un fleuve. Regroupant des hussards, des voltigeurs, d'anciens lignards et quelques débris de vétérans réformés, l'unité déjà prestigieuse des Pontonniers de la
Garde fut créee! Dirigé d'une main de fer par un leader de voltigeurs irlandais Kennedy et par un tyran hussard autoproclamé Peponi, le régiment acquis rapidement de
nombreuses recrues et débutèrent leur campagne européenne face aux plus grandes lignes ayant jamais foulé les terres européennes.
Depuis la création du régiment, les sapeurs travaillèrent d'arrache pied afin que soit respecté pour la postérité, le mot d'ordre donné par Napoleon comme horizon du régiment,
plus jamais de morts par manque de ponts! Depuis lors, les pontonniers bâtirent des ponts jusqu'à épuisement pour que jamais plus, de soldats français périrent par noyade!

Les Pontonniers de la Garde. Sous ce nom glorieux, une coalition téméraire composée par des membres présents et passés du 5e Hussards ainsi que du Connacht s'est lancé
dans la folle aventure de la RGL (groupfighting league infanterie) afin de botter le cul des lignes qui pensent que parce qu'on a jamais touché à une bayo de sa vie, on peut
pas leur ouvrir les entrailles joyeusement! Ainsi, ce thread sera notre tribune de laquelle nous lancerons nos anathèmes dans leur face et où nous pourrons vous faire partager
à vous aussi, chers confrères de la communauté française, nos exploits ainsi que nos humiliations, toujours dans la dignité et dans l'humilité.

I post here to tell you that the 4e Régiment du Connacht now organizes its own events, and you're invited! The event is composed of line infantry and artillery.

The launch of the event will be Tuesday, january 13, 2015 at 7:30 GMT! It aims to become regular.
Important Information

- The LineBattle will take place every Tuesday.
- The Battle will start at 7:30 p.m (20:30 GMT+1).

Regiments / 4e Régiment de Voltigeurs du Connacht [EU]

The 4e Régiment de Voltigeurs du Connacht comes from the V Corps. After the dissolution of the first Irish Legion,V Corps was reformed without regiment of Voltigeurs. After several months, in December 2012, while the line infantry regiment of the Ve Corps evolved, several of its members, which initially were waiting Voltigeurs and the creation of a regiment formed part of the 3rd Company of the 3rd Regiment of Voltigeurs Line Infantry. For several months the regiment was formed by Sergeant Andack and Commander Josef and when the training was completed, Andack and Josef left us and left the command of the regiment to Captain Oudinot and his Sergeant John Kennedy. Unfortunately, at the same time the 3rd Infantry Regiment Line struggled nottamment due to the departure of Colonel BigRedOne and several of his officers and NCOs which caused its dissolution. The latter gave birth to two regiments: the 4e Régiment de Voltigeurs and the 9e Régiment de Grenadiers. months passed in the Ve Corps and Regiment Line Infantry was disbanded several times and the General Staff. In November 2013, the Ve Corps merged with the X Corps to create the second Irish Legion. Roleplay for a side and make a nod to the old Light Infantry of the first Irish Legion regiment, the regiment added "Connacht" (Connacht  is a Irish region). In February 2014, the regiment merged with 6e Régiment de Légers Piémontais which allowed him to increase its size and create two companies, the 1st Company of Galway and the 2nd Company of Castlebar. It now has 25 members and alligne at least 12 Voltigeurs in LineBattle sometimes even up to 18 Voltigeurs. Trainings take place on Wednesday at 20:00 and Saturday at 18:00. The regiment participated in LineBattles regularly on Tuesday at 20:00, on Friday at 20:30 and Saturday at 20:00. 4e Connacht also exports to other games like World of Tanks, War Thunder Arma II and III and other ...

The Voltigeurs were introduced in 1804 by Napoleon himself. The difference between skirmishers and the Voltigeurs lies in the fact that the first move in an irregular manner,being scattered, while others act and collected numerous body. Qualified to be admitted to these troops are a well established reputation for courage,small size, the strength and agility.Their uniform is that of the French infantry,with distinction as a clean yellow collar. They carry the grenade, and enjoy the same high wages as grenadiers,although most of them are of the smallest size. Each infantry regiment has a company of Voltigeurs, who always goes before the grenadiers. Instead of drums, they have two trumpets (cornets).The Voltigeurs are armed with a short gun (rifle) and a short sword; the pouch is attached to the waist by a belt; according to the regulations, bag must be very light. In the presence of the enemy, Companies Voltigeurs of all regiments are combined, forming a separate body that leads the attack; they are generally used to climb mountains (if any) or to force the difficult passages; grenadiers follow short distance, but it is the privilege of the Voltigeurs to open the road to victory. They were reminded, moreover, on occasion, this honorable advantage. Since their inception, the Voltigeurs were most useful for the French army « I was quite surprised, by returning in France, of the high idea that we had formed of the Imperial Guard and little case that was made of Voltigeurs that were barely distinguished from any company of the centre. However the Voltigeurs fought one thousand times more than Guards. They were always ahead fighting when the Guards stood as reserve. There wasn’t a gunshot fired without them, and the Guard, which rarely took part in the small fights, appeared almost so rarely in the battles. Finally, the Voltigeurs were the elite of the Corps whilst a part of the Guard were scraps. Whoever saw it by is own eyes knows that many colonels sent to Paris only the men they wanted to get rid of, whereas the captains of Voltigeurs only admitted in their companies soldiers of a tried courage...» Memories of Capitaine Desboeufs.

M&B: Warband - Napoleonic Wars / 4e Régiment de Voltigeurs du Connacht [ 7 ans ]

Le 4e Régiment de Voltigeurs du Connacht est issu du Ve corps. Après la dissolution de la première Légion Irlandaise, le Ve Corps a été reformé sans régiment de voltigeurs. Après plusieurs mois, en Décembre 2012, alors que le régiment d'infanterie de ligne du Ve Corps évoluait, plusieurs de ses membres, qui au départ étaient des voltigeurs et qui attendaient la création d'un régiment firent partie de la 3 Compagnie de Voltigeurs du 3e Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne.Pendant plusieurs mois le régiment fut formé par le Sergent Andack et le Commandant Josef et quand la formation fut terminée, Andack et Josef nous quittèrent et laissèrent le commandement du régiment au Capitaine Oudinot et à son Sergent, John F. Kennedy. Malheureusement, au même moment le 3e Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne connut des difficultés notamment à cause du départ du Colonel BigRedOne et plusieurs de ses officiers et sous-officiers qui provoquèrent sa dissolution. Cette dernière donna naissance à deux régiments : le 4e Régiment de Voltigeurs et le 9e Régiment de Grenadiers. Les mois passèrent dans le Ve Corps et le régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne fut dissous plusieurs fois ainsi que l'Etat-Major.En Novembre 2013, le Ve Corps fusionna avec le Xe Corps pour créer la seconde Légion Irlandaise. Pour avoir un côté Role Play et faire un clin d’œil à l'ancien régiment d'Infanterie Légère de la première Légion Irlandaise, le régiment ajouta "du Connacht" (le Connacht étant une région Irlandaise). En Février 2014, le régiment fusionna avec le 6e Régiment de Légers Piémontais ce qui lui permis d'augmenter son effectif et de créer deux compagnies, la 1ère Compagnie de Galway et la 2ème Compagnie de Castelbar. Il compte à présent 25 membres et il aligne au minimum 14 voltigeurs en LineBattle voire parfois jusqu'à 18 voltigeurs. Les trainings ont lieu le Mercredi à 20h00 et le Samedi à 18h00. Le régiment participe à des LineBattles de façon régulière le Mardi à 20h00, le Vendredi à 20h30 et le Samedi à 20h00. Le 4e Connacht s'exporte aussi sur d'autres jeux comme World of Tanks, War Thunder, Arma II et III et d'autres. Le 19 Décembre 2014 le 4e Connacht adopta des Nom RP en Jeu et le 21 Décembre 2014 Le 1erRA fut incorporé dans le Connacht en tant que compagnie d'artillerie. Le 10 Juillet 2015, Le Connacht devient indépendant en quittant la Légion Irlandaise et est actuellement en cohabitation avec le 5e Hussards sur le même teamspeak.

                             

Les voltigeurs ont été institués en 1804, par Napoléon lui-même. La différence entre les tirailleurs et les voltigeurs réside dans le fait que les premiers évoluent de façon irrégulière, en étant éparpillés, tandis que les autres agissent en corps nombreux et rassemblé. Les qualités requises pour être admis dans ces troupes sont une réputation de courage bien établie, une petite taille, de la vigueur et une grande agilité. Leur uniforme est celui de l'infanterie française, avec comme distinction propre le collet jaune. Ils portent la grenade, et jouissent de la même haute paye que les grenadiers, bien que la plupart d'entre eux soient de la plus petite taille. Chaque régiment d'infanterie a une compagnie de voltigeurs, qui marche toujours devant les grenadiers. Au lieu de tambours, ils ont deux trompettes (cornets). Les voltigeurs sont armés d'un fusil court (carabine) et d'un sabre court ; la giberne est fixée sur les reins par une ceinture; d'après les règlements, leur sac doit être très léger. En présence de l'ennemi, les compagnies de voltigeurs de tous les régiments sont rassemblées, formant un corps distinct qui mène l'attaque ; ils sont en général employés à escalader les montagnes (s'il y en a) ou à forcer les passages difficiles; les grenadiers suivent à courte distance, mais c'est le privilège des voltigeurs d'ouvrir la route à la victoire. On leur rappelle, d'ailleurs, à l'occasion, cet honorable avantage. Depuis leur création, les voltigeurs ont été de la plus grande utilité pour les armées françaises. Je fus très surpris, en rentrant en France, de la haute idée qu'on s'était formée de la Garde impériale et du peu de cas qu'on faisait des voltigeurs, qu'on ne distinguait guère des compagnies du centre.  Cependant les voltigeurs ont combattu mille fois plus que la Garde.  Ils étaient toujours en tête et elle en réserve.  Il ne se tirait pas un coup de fusil sans eux, et la Garde, qui prenait rarement part aux petits combats, donnait presque aussi rarement dans les batailles.  Enfin, les voltigeurs étaient l'élite des corps et une partie de la Garde en était le rebut.  Quiconque a vu la chose par ses yeux sait que beaucoup de colonels n'envoyaient à Paris que les hommes dont ils voulaient se défaire, tandis que les capitaines de voltigeurs n'admettaient dans leurs compagnies que des soldats d'un courage éprouvé.  (Souvenirs du capitaine Desboeufs, p. 205).

I post here to tell you that the Irish Legion now organizes its own events, and you're invited!

The launch of the event will be Friday, March 21, 2014 at 20:30! It aims to become regular.
Important Information:

- The LineBattle will be all Friday.
- The Battle will start at 20:30 GMT + 1 (19:30 GMT).
- You and your regiment must be into the server 5 Min before the start 20:25 GMT + 1 (19:25 GMT).

The legion is composed of 4 regiments.

Legion formed in Morlaix in Brittany (France) was attached to the Army of the Coasts of the Ocean, in waiting of the project of landing at the british island.During the early years, the Legion was deployed in other cities of Finistère, as Carhaix and Lesneven.The idea was that after the armed invasion of Ireland, the officers of the Legion would frame a force of irish volunteer.

In 1806, the legion incorporated at the "Grande armée" and deployed in Germany, began to recruit actively. A contingent of prussian prisonner after the defeat of iena constituted the first wave of the recruiting. Among them, about a hundred of irish rebel of the uprising of 1798 and 1803.
At last a real unit of the army, the legion was deployed for the protection of the river Schildt estuary.

In november 1807, the strength of the legion was sufficient to set up a battalion to went in Spain with the captain Louis Lacy, who was born in Andalusia of an irish father.The legion suffered of huge loss in spain between 1807 and 1810.
Reduced, demoralized, the battalion was called back to France in December 1811. The name changed to become "The Irish regiment".
In 1813, in preparation for the campaign of Saxe, Napoleon reformed his broken army and giving an opportunity to the irish of fame and destruction.

Many officers died,and among them, John Tennent, the commander of the 1st battalion. After ,under the command of Hugh Ware wounded, the regiment was catch in a trap with the 17th division Puthod at the river of bober, in spate, downpours has broken all the bridges.Attack after a terrible bombardment by over 30,000 Russian controlled by Langeron, a French count in the service of the Tsar, the 3e foreign will fought until the last cartridge. The Division almost in its entirety would be annihilated. The remains of the regiment was besieged by the British during 1814 in Anvers, the army corps stayed besieged until the abdication of Napoleon.
The legion didn't fight during the "Cents-jours".
The regiment was officially disbanded by the king Louis XVIII the 28 september 1815. The flag and the eagle were destroyed.

The irish legion had her flag and eagle. That was the only one foreign unit in the french army that received an eagle. The uniforms of the irish legion was greens.

This is a fusion between the Ve army corps and the Xe army corps.We are around 80 in linebattle.The irish legion is composed of numerous regiment (1 line infantry, 1 of grenadiers, 2 of artillery, 1 of cuirassier , 1 of flankers and1 of Voltigeurs.) who have a strength and strategy difference who permit to have an acuity high in Linebattle.
