The North and South Team would like to announce a North and South Map Contest - for our upcoming version 1.0.We are looking for high-quality maps, which can be played in
1) Line Battles,
2) Public Play, or for
3) Commander Battles (AI-meshes needed)
North and South features a bunch of usefull mapping objects, like trains, civil war ships, western buildings, paintings, a complete new environment and more! A huge variaty of maps are possible.
How to take part?If you want to take part in the contest, please respond to this thread and sent a private-message with the subject "Contest" to recieve the download link.
Be AwareIf you are submitting your map, ask yourself the following questions:
1) Is my map playable?
2) Is it possible for both side to win without one side having the upper hand?
3) Will people have fun playing my map? Or will it be full of babes camping in ditches for 40 minutes?
4) Are there any bugs in my map that can be exploited? (invisible walls missing, holes between fort walls, etc)
5) Does my map lag?
6) Is my map realistic? Have I taken care of large and small details? (small details make maps fun to look at and be in)
Dead LineIts a very quick and fast contest. The Dead-Line ends at
June 30th!
The Winner gets access to an unique unit class, which represents an US-Mexican War Veteran. [for his own or for his regiment]
That unit is exclusive for you, no other player gets access to that unique unit.
