The Duchy of Holstein

The Dutchy of Holstein is a newly formed artillery regiment associated with the HRE community. We are an english speaking EU regiment. Our strive is to become an small-medium but veteran artillery regiment, one who even Napoleon would fear! We keep strict discipline during drills to sustain maximum casualties to the enemy. Nonetheless banter is always welcome.

History
Holstein has always been closely associated to Schleswig as their history intertwined often.
Control over the principality changed more than once in history between nowadays know as Denmark and Germany.
In 1474 it became know as the Dutchy of Holstein.

Progress
The regiment was founded unofficialy on 18.8.18 and is currently looking for members.
We've got our goal of 10 members and are now officialy part of the HRE. Additional we signed in for our first weekly event: 77y linebattle.

As I'm new to the website but not to the community & battlefield I'd like to hereby introduce myself. I'm from the Netherlands and 18 years old. I've been in as many as 5 different regiments in NW. Total time spend in those regiments is around 3 years. The reason i joined this many regiments is because I wanted to see the many aspects of what different regiments bring to the battlefield. I'm experienced in leading men to battle and giving trainings. On top of that i also have experience in ww2 era realism units of which one I'm currently in(http://9komp.com/).
I'm looking forward to build relationships with other regiments and their leaders in hope of many battles to come!

Good luck, but what is wrong with normal regiment names? Its a bit weird to call an arty reg that way. Its a nation, not a unit

it's because we're part of the HRE. In the HRE we form regiments named after the countries/dutchies/counties which the HRE consists of. (HRE=Holy Roman Empire)
