Legendary Regiments - Thread Collection - Mashup & Rework
« on: June 21, 2024, 08:23:20 pm »

GREETINGS & WELCOME!

For many years, this forum has been a bustling hub of activity, a place where countless regiments
have showcased their skills and left an indelible mark on the NW community. Some have dazzled
us with their strategic prowess, while others have inspired with their unwavering camaraderie.
As time marches on, it's easy to let the threads of our shared history fade into the background.
But what if we could breathe new life into these memories? What if we could honor the legacies
that have shaped our community?

I've decided to embark on an ambitious project: to rework the threads that could benefit from a
fresh new look, using all the thread-building experience I have gathered over the years. This isn't
just a cosmetic update; it's a tribute to the regiments that have defined what it means to be
exceptional in NW.
If you belong to a regiment that has been active for over four years, or if your regiment has
left a lasting impression with its extraordinary performance, I urge you to step forward and make
your presence known in the thread. This project has been on my mind for a long time, a vision
that has gradually taken shape. Now, the moment has come to turn that vision into reality. I
know what you might be thinking: isn't it too late? Many have moved on, both from the forums
and the game itself. Yet, I believe in the timeless power of our shared history. There is a certain
magic in preserving and celebrating the past, even if it seems like a distant memory.

So here I am, reaching out to all of you. I invite you to share your suggestions, your questions,
your stories. Together, we can ensure that the legacy of NW and its remarkable regiments
endures, even if it's only in our thoughts by having some souvenirs on this forum.

IMPORTANT NOTES

As someone immersed in the EU scene, my familiarity with the other regions are limited. If you have any recommendations
for the other regions or find this idea intriguing, I encourage you to share your thoughts.

If your regiment predominantly communicates in a language other than English and you prefer to have your thread in your
native language, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

To ensure accessibility, I will include the appropriate fonts for each thread in the resources section located below every
created page. This way, you can view and engage with content seamlessly, regardless of the fonts used in
the original threads.

The threads will be created in high-definition 1440p resolution to ensure optimal visual clarity and detail. All images will be
meticulously edited using Affinity Photo software, guaranteeing a polished and visually appealing presentation.

Within this meticulously curated compilation, you will find a selection of regiments that are currently under consideration
for inclusion in in this esteemed list. Each regiment included here is regarded as a potential candidate for recognition
within a prestigious list that celebrates their contributions to NW.

It's crucial to understand that this list is not static but rather dynamic in nature. It remains open to adjustments and
revisions based on ongoing investigations into each regiment's achievements and contributions. Research is
continuously conducted to ensure fairness and approval.

Moreover, community consensus plays a significant role in shaping this compilation. Input from the broader
community helps to assess the enduring significance and impact of each regiment.  The process of inclusion is
rigorous and multifaceted, aiming to uphold standards of excellence and authenticity. It involves evaluating each
regiment against predefined criteria that encompass both their achievements and their contribution. This
comprehensive evaluation ensures that only the most deserving regiments earn a place in this esteemed
compilation.

Hey Razz, it's been a while. And yes, you are correct. Thank you. If you want I can put your regiment in the list as well. You guys have been around for a very long time too. I've learned a lot more about bbcode in case you wish to have your thread refreshed as well.

No offence, but let's say if you rework Tavington's thread, what is next? I don't really see the point tbh

I recognize that some people might have doubts about this idea. My goal with this thread is to remake the old threads of these regiments, honoring them and creating a sort of Hall of Fame. This "Hall of Fame" will celebrate regiments with exceptional performance, long-standing service, and significant contributions to the community. I aim to create a Hall of Fame similar to Herishey's, but specifically focused on these regiments, each with a unique design. In the past, some individuals lacked knowledge of BBCode or were less concerned about the forum, creating pages merely to reserve their regiment's name. My goal is to remake these threads and give these regiments a design that truly honors their legacy. As mentioned earlier, I hope this thread will become a place where people can reminisce and take nostalgic trips back to the past, serving as a collection of cherished memories in this community.

I will showcase these new threads on this thread and include them in the first post. To those that are still active and wish to take the design and use it for their own, they are ofcourse free to do so.

Feel free to put us in the list, the Hall of Fame sounds enticing. Though, put others before us, since you've went over our thread recently.

Alright. I'll put the thread on this thread as well and then you can copy the code whenever you would like.

Ahoj ma bois, I would personally add 15thYR for obvious reasons (the most succesfull regiment ever), 18e, 45th, IVe as regiment even tho it was corp, 96y, 92nd both Donalds and Wolfee, 16th and tirdy turds (33rd) based on their great community, activity, longetivity and achievements. For NA I had a pleasure to be a part of great regiments like 30th led Purple and 58e led by Lawbringer. Also there were some good turkish and CIS regs which led the late phase of NW. Preobraz led by Nams for example. Skap

Thank you for the suggestions! The 15thYR is undoubtedly one of NW's finest regiments indeed, excelling under the command of both Falk and later Gi.

I will add every regiment you have listed later. However, I have some reservations about the Preobraz regiment from Nams and a few Turkish and CIS regiments in the later phase. Could you please provide more details about these regiments, either in a reply or through a personal message?

With that being said, the first regiment on the list, the 91st, will soon have its thread created. Based on my current assessment and the work completed thus far, I anticipate it will take approximately 2-3 days to finalize everything. This timeframe should allow me to ensure all details are thoroughly checked.
