I would love to see Russian expeditionary force/Russian Legion in the French faction. They were fighting at the Western front even after the Russian withdrawal from the war, and was mostly using French weapons.

I'd rather have the teams coordinate. Going to see some hectic no-mans-land fighting for the maps that have them.
Humans are extremely complicated creatures. Death uncomplicates them to a frightening degree...

I agree also , and then epic Counter attack ;D ! Official servers should be in conquest mode , where there are 3 places to capture :
Team 1 trench , No man's Land , Team 2 trench . And if one side will take the whole maps Capture points or for ex. their own trench and no man's land , the team 2 would have to counter attack to get back no man's land , so they won't loose because of losing their team points (You would loose teampoints if your enemy would have more controled points than you) , that would prevent people from camping in the trenches, and it would make them actually counter attacking ;) .

I'm hoping to use our current server to also host IE games, I plan on having the map set to conquest with several points to capture so you can move your forces closer up. Either have it on a time limit and the team with the most captures wins, or the team who caps all wins.

There is a custom native siege map called Agincourt which works pretty much exactly like this. The two teams spawn opposite one another on a torn up field with mounds and muddy declines, but the flag is only one one side. It's a good map.

I could see a siege mode working. It would be interesting to see a Somme Offensive or Verdun map, at least I think that those would be fitting for it.
