Figured id make a thread for the game since there's a handful of us that do play it

Whats the longest game youve had on Smite? Mine was a bit over an hour on Conquest back in late Season 1

Friend of mine started getting famous on smite streams since hed usually get paired up with players from pro teams on ranked

Then he ended up giving away his account

Ah I used to get paired with them alot but id hardly call myself famous. I was on awesome2damax's team in a codegreen once, back when they did that whole "trial day" for teams to scout I was on ponpon'S team (dude stole my show, I went 11-1 but the scouts were all on him cause he was literally already a pro ;L), I got wolfy demoted on my promo game to gold, got stomped by thebest and shadowq in duo lane a couple times, witnessed zapman try to geb mid (and fail), and had the opportunity to firstblood cyclone in solo lane (before he utterly buttsmashed me) in a tier monster tourny.

I also remember utterly fucking on complexity's coach when I played Odin ADC once. It was glorious until cyclone came all the way from solo lane to rek me.

Honestly Jing Wei just isn't that great. Passive is OP and 2 is solid but the dash and 1 are absolute trash. It's an interesting mechanic, but it needs to be fleshed out more. Either put a slow or mez on it when used on the ground, make it go further, multidirectional like Rama roll, cost less mana/cdr or something.

RIP C9 though. Andi's really not doing that well compared to S2 and Boosh and Snoopy got nothing on MLC and Baskin.

Agreed. Andi had one of his worst games as Batz yesterday that I've seen in a while. And you rarely hear that about a jungler as experienced and reliable as him.

Gotta say that I prefer the S2 SPL so far, it just seems more drawn out and slow paced this year, probably because everyone's scared due to the beads nerf

Edit: Also, seems like a good place to rant about how much F. pisses me off. He can't even speak properly half the time.

I would join the inhouses if I wasn't a) in the wrong timezone and b) shitting myself about exams

I hate the ELO/TP system atm, it punishes me for maining supports, as we simply get less for each win and lose more for losing, even if I have to carry the whole bloody team. I think damage taken/death or damage mitigated/death should be taken into account so that tanky frontliners get more credit for their role, as they sacrifice damage for frontlining.

Very true, the life of a support is a hard one in the lands of smite :c

But I guess that'll be true for any support in a moba, other than the competitive scene, supports rarely get the credit they deserve in matches.

Anyone notice on Jing Wei her flying doesn't activate every time she leaves the fountain? Seems like it should be happening every time but every 5 or so times it just doesn't.

In my opinion, from what I remember what smite used to be, I geel thay the developers have been slowly killing the game for a while and taking it in the wrong direction. Sadly, smite is no longer my favorite MOBA in my eyes, which pains me.

Well that is the thing. There are alot of anti-fun characters in SMITE. Nemesis, Nox, Ah-Puch, Nu-Wa, Bellona...etc.

SMITE has way too much CC for its own good with lots of characters with kits around disabling you then beating the fuck out of you, which is NEVER a fun thing to be on the receiving end of.

It used to not be TOO bad as the number of these characters was rather limited, along with beads being supremely powerful (not sure if they gave it a buff again, but last I played it was only a shadow of its former self).
