Events: EU / 25th Regiment of Foot - 3 year anniversary SIEGE OF CASTLE BLACK | 25th March

The 25th Regiment of Foot are happy to announce that our 3 year anniversary is finally here! After 3 year with succes and failure, we still stand, and its yet still an honour to be a part of the NW community! The Siege will be hosted on Friday the 25th of March, for all regiments interested in celebrating the 3 year anniversary of the 25th at 19:00 GMT, on our stable 200 slot ingame server. We aim to have around 140-160 players at the event in order to achieve a large scale event, but without the possible lag issues of a full server. We are using a special custom map made by Spoons from the 33rd, and there will be posted screenshots of the map on this thread. Thread signups are required to attend the Siege, and event details will be given via Steam to Regiment leaders at 18:30 GMT, half an hour prior to the event. We want an organised and balanced experience for everyone involved and therefore if your Regiment cannot make it or will not be bringing the numbers it's signed up for, please let us know as soon as possible. This prevents an unbalanced game and lots of time spent trying to deal with this. We also have a steam group with news about 25th events, join here - Line Infantry -Minimum 5, Maximum 35 *No Teamkilling or Teamhitting. *Attackers must only move from spawn if they are in a line of 5 or more. *Defenders are not allowed to leave the fort. *No ramboing. *No Rockets. *if you are infantry you must take an infantry unit, all units except PARTIZANI OR SAILORS(marines are fine). *one sapper per regiment(Attackers and Defenders). *No Plank spam or explosive crates allowed. *No Sapperladders *Crouching is allowed. *Attacking lines can spread once in charging distance. *No abuse between players or to admins(light banter is allowed). *FIC is allowed Artillery -Minimum 2, Maximum 5 Only defending side needs cannoniers. There is 4 cannons placed within the fort. All signed up for artillery will at least get 1 cannon to use. The 25th Regiment of Foot are happy to announce that our Friday Siege is running! After half a year with succesfull Sunday linebattles, we will now host a special siege event to honour the NW community! The Siege will be hosted on Friday the 2nd of october at 19:00 GMT, on our stable 200 slot ingame server. We aim to have around 140-160 players at the event in order to achieve a large scale event, but without the possible lag issues of a full server. Thread signups are required to attend the Siege, and event details will be given via Steam to Regiment leaders at 18:30 GMT, half an hour prior to the event. We want an organised and balanced experience for everyone involved and therefore if your Regiment cannot make it or will not be bringing the numbers it's signed up for, please let us know as soon as possible. This prevents an unbalanced game and lots of time spent trying to deal with this. The 25th Regiment of Foot are happy to announce that our Sunday Linebattle is running! We aim to host a well-organised, enjoyable and balanced game with a variety of Regiments from all sides of the EU Community. The Linebattle will be hosted weekly on Sundays at 19:00 GMT, on our stable 200 slot ingame server. We aim to have around 140-160 players at the event in order to achieve a large scale event, but without the possible lag issues. Thread signups are required to attend the Linebattle, and event details will be given via Steam to Regiment leaders at 18:30 GMT, half an hour prior to the event. We want an organised and balanced experience for everyone involved and therefore if your Regiment cannot make it or will not be bringing the numbers it's signed up for, please let us know as soon as possible. This prevents an unbalanced game and lots of time spent trying to fix it. We also have a steam group with news about 25th events, join here - Line Infantry Per line - Minimum 10, Maximum 30 - 1 surgeon per line - If your line is less than 4, you must join another. - You may not crouch at any time. - You may not fire out of formation or in a charge. - 1 medic per line. Artillery Per artillery piece - Minimum 2, Maximum 6 - Artillery personnel can only fire muskets    if they joined onto a friendly formation. - Sappers and artillery guards are not permitted. - If cannons are already placed,    admins decide if they can be moved around the map. - Can only use 1 cannon, and if there are two cannons on    the map, they can only use the cannon they fired first. - Enemy artillery can only capture and use the cannon that   was used by the other enemy artillery crew. - When all charge is called, artillery gets 10 seconds to fire their last shot. - No Howitzers, Mortars or rockets allowed unless the admin says so. About Us The 25th Regiment of Foot was a British Line Infantry Regiment. Founded in March 2013 on the principles of fair play, respect and community spirit, the 25th has enjoyed many years of gaming together. Since foundation, we have aimed to strike a balance between competitive events and more casual gaming: from competing in multiple seasons of the Napoleonic Wars League to weekly gaming nights, we have something for everyone, no matter your experience or ability. 25thfoot.com (Link probably doesn't work anymore, but gives nostalgia. Our everlasting commitment to ethical conduct. Our intention was to run the Regiment in an ethical way, with an emphasis on fairness, honesty and communication. We wanted all players to feel they were being treated fairly and with respect. As such, we never tolerated bullying, racism, homophobia, political extremism or xenophobia of any kind. Financial transparency was central to our mission. We uploaded proof of our monthly expenditure on our servers, Teamspeak and website, so that our generous donators could feel safe in the knowledge that their contributions were going to good use. Our members were integral to the success of the regiment, and we always respected their opinions. Regular dialogue between the staff and members, including taking anonymous complaints and Q&A sessions, helped ensure that everyone were being taken seriously. We were always working on ways to improve.
