In the example of Drake against you, he had every advantage against you and only managed to get a draw, completely due to his choice of playstyle. I don't know how anyone can say that "works". Like congratulations on surviving 5 minutes against someone you should have been able to kill within 2.

I appreciate the compliment that you thought I could beat him that quickly, I found drake playstyle prevent me from killing him. Since he relies so heavily on minimizing risk he also was not able to get a hit on me. Having 100 ping and him having 10 ping puts him in the driver seat and it leaves me to play more passive and counter. I risked spamming him with a silver of health which would make my death assured. Since it would have been a cool clutch I think its reasonable with how I played and im satisfied with it.

Think you misunderstood what I said bud.
I wasn't talking about your playstyle, I was talking about Drakes. My only point to you was that you said it "works" when it doesn't. Drake should have been able to kill you inside of 2 minutes with all the advantages at his disposal, but instead, he went with a playstyle that merely allowed him to survive against you and get a "draw", which is like the nicest thing you can say about that result. Because honestly with such a big advantage, if all you do is "draw" that's really a fat loss. So I just don't see how anyone can say a style like that works.

At the time I guess I should have been more technical with my terminology but in duel tourney when someone plays like that just super passive and defensive it tends to work because the other person just wants it to be over and makes a mistake. Btw I watched that duel between Anthony and Drake and to be fair Anthony was playing amazingly boring as well. Honestly think it is the most boring duel I have ever witnessed on all my 8 years on NW.

I'm always surprised by ppl theory on my play style, it's the results of having faced extremely different players, over years of putting duel as my favorite thing, I had the chance to face huge duellists like even Xeon, Evan, Jackiechan and then Nozza, Petl, Mandarin, Lebrave, Cr3a, Fwuffy, Marquez, Rune, Tiberias, and the hardest of all Extazz94 and Hokej. When I played against Anthony, I don't played against Anthony but VS what canhhappen wrong, this NA lasted some time, because he could certainly not be brought down relatively to the way he played, idc his ping, kill ppl faster is obviously a preference but never should be an obsession seing how the melee has been designed.
I play against what may happen from what I've seen from Xeon to Hokej over 6-7 years, do you get it? I faced hundreds of people in duel,, I don't care Anthony or coco or wolpi style, I respect them, but I know what's the most dangerous possibilities, I play against the most dangerous "can happen" foremost not only or necessarily against the opponent specialities or strength, this way of playing is the reason I'm always getting critized as every people asses that my redundant style routine is unskilled (senseless, the mouse handling exigence isn't fake able, who move camera faster than I do? check vids) because inherently cancerish, in fact I play accurately to what the game melee system has been designed, it's like in chess, the most accurate players are boring and redundant, it can take 5s or 3 minutes depending on variety of factors, that's respecting the game inner design to play as i did, the fact that it will judged negatively doesn't matter. I can not really play much differently else it mean I don't follow the game melee inner design and don't optimize performance results, how do I justify that after 7 years dueling, I'm only being honest to my knowledge. Anyway, I stopped nw.

May I also suggest that you are potentially suffering from sort of obsessive disorder? Luckily for you, I have researched this topic at some length in order to help better my understanding of human interaction (to little avail unfortunately), and I must say, you are hitting a few of the checkmarks here. I would also get checked for BPD, or various other mental illness that are often coupled with this horrible condition. Personally, I can't quite see why you would be so uncontrollably attracted to me, but my time in this community has lent credence to the notion that even the purest souls can be fractured by debauchery, including myself.
Additionally, you seem to suffer from a frustration with people you deem to be intellectually or physically inferior. I can understand this frustration. Working in American retail for over a decade would have certainly taken its toll even on the most hardened man. It's good that you vent to people whom you share no personal ties with, as I have seen domestic disputes get ugly far too often. Good luck in your struggles!

It’s a tall order to ask from the fickle low iq nw masses but idk what else would fix it.

There is the argument that they naturally follow their friends, and I do think it plays a factor in stacking and preventing newer players from getting experience aside from having to thrust themselves into it, but it certainly is not the overarching factor when determining skill imbalance between teams that leads to a reduction in competitive diversification. A huge counter example to the friends join friends argument is just looking at the toxic atmosphere that emerges between people on the same stacked teams. People just put up with eachother to win and as soon as they disband or leave they completely turn and start bming publicly (the whole “lmao every groupfight I was in this person was shit and is a retard”, and can even be interchanged with real life personal attacks and revelations to the community).I don't agree with lawbringer on a lot of things, but as someone who leads in comp with rosters that are far less experienced then most comp regs historically speaking, I find this highly true. I have seen time and time again players just dip on a reg because they either are unwilling to help a regiment out, or want to be on a stack. This is especially true on NA. I have had many top players come in and out of my reg, mainly because they were not surrounded by another high level player. I have said time and time again against the "NW is dead" argument, that if it was so dead, then why is only the NA competitive effected by it, because other NW communities may be drawing down, but not as drastic as NA Competitive down hill hit. If we want to keep something like this going, then we can sit around trying to show off how big we are, and start thinking about maintaining this community. The only time I see NA comp alive is when NWL or major tournament comes around, other then that, its a few rag tag regs.

For the sake of clarity the video is not really an attempt to rather bring back NA as much. I have been doing a lot of work on EU and really have been enjoying myself. While they too have stacked regiments the amount of people playing really offsets that and allows you to fight regiments close to your level and tons of variety in who you can fight. Also there are a ton of people still playing EU comp as if you want you can have 3-4 gfs a day with the steam group they have for leaders. I have learned a lot from both sides at this point and NA your right i agree does not seem like much of a point to offer the challenge to improve. However the vision I have for the game is not universal, when I speak in broad generalities such as "you guys" obviously I am speaking to the people who are receptive to the message not people who just play the game for broadly different reasons. For people who think its me chastising them for not wanting to get better or that they have to train or else they do something wrong that is not what I mean.Yoshie

Also too I am not trying to trap anyone into a perceptual position and I have questions I wanna ask the community in a entertaining and fun way. For the sake of clarity the video is not really an attempt to rather bring back NA as much. I have been doing a lot of work on EU and really have been enjoying myself. While they too have stacked regiments the amount of people playing really offsets that and allows you to fight regiments close to your level and tons of variety in who you can fight. Also there are a ton of people still playing EU comp as if you want you can have 3-4 gfs a day with the steam group they have for leaders. I have learned a lot from both sides at this point and NA your right i agree does not seem like much of a point to offer the challenge to improve. However the vision I have for the game is not universal, when I speak in broad generalities such as "you guys" obviously I am speaking to the people who are receptive to the message not people who just play the game for broadly different reasons. For people who think its me chastising them for not wanting to get better or that they have to train or else they do something wrong that is not what I mean.
I did however lay down for some people who do troll who are toxic that they can do something greater and cooler. Bringing up new players rather than tearing other people down is cool. Also I am not talking about banter as I think their is a difference.
If you wanna talk specifics on what I saw in the community tbh I think that just stirs the drama back up.

If NA wants to continue to grow its competitive scene, the best way is obviously to continue putting emphasis on smaller-scale leagues and introduce interested individual players into that side of things, rather than trying to get people to commit whole regiments to events. Sure, it wouldn't have the same dramatic effect, but it's much more sustainable. Over time you could use it to rebuild the regimental comp side of things (gradually re-introduce 5v5 regimental team-based tournaments/leagues, then increase team sizes periodically). But things need to happen on a small scale before the big scale can be impacted, can't be the other way around.
