Those bloody Austrians in the first video refused to retreat as they were meant to! Bastards!

Shame the geezer didn't stick around long enough to see us charge them, that's our brigade the Austrians were shooting at :D

As for the second video, dat cavalry, dat Prussian column, dat music choice and dat cameraman having a stroke halfway through.

Rather amusing that 3/4th of the Prussian light batallion are dismounted cavalry.

You can see me (Or rather, my behind) at 19:08. I'm wearing a grey greatcoat, french backpack and a a cup is hanging from my cartridge box.

Oh and yesh. Dat column. Dat marching. You got nothing on us, ACW.

Too much energy wasted in the legs in NW. Too much silliness. You actually got nothing on ACW. Give me one brigade and we will have Napoleon head on a stake in a day. (In few hours if I get Jackson foot cavalry brigade).  Muwahahahahahahaha.

You Nap War folk may on average march better but at least we can pull of a 10,000 man event and look UNIFORMED.
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

We had two 150th Gettysburg both which got more than 10,000 and the  135th Gettysburg had 40 thousand.

what. that doesnt make any sense.

anyways, Cedar Creek, really looking at going now. my grandparents live in Vancouver and they travel quite often, am going to see if they would like to come and watch while i re-enact.

I dont think its going to happen so I have a backup plan.

There were two 150th's hosted by two different organizations.
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

No matter, in Every Video the lot of you seem to be Goddam Terminators...

Marching in a line, not taking any hits and make it to position after being volley-fired 6 times and only 6-10 men in each company have gone down...

The no-casualty thing comes from the fact that we get our black powder freely from the event. Meaning people got so much to shoot they don't want to stop.
It's lame, but what can you do?

Oh, and besides, casualties in the Napoleonics were rather light. Especially fire-fights. Most casualties came from melees and artillery barrages.
For example, the British Guards who defended Hougomount took 20% casualties, of which only about 30-40 were actually killed.
