Regiments / MERGED 23RD INTO 3DM
« on: May 11, 2014, 02:45:48 am »
This is a swap over from my Kings Hessian Infantry it is not a brand new Regiment we are reviving it after a Reform

23rd ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS!!

Our History In Real Life Napoleonic Wars & American Revolution:
Spoiler
The light infantry and grenadier companies of the Fusiliers saw bloody action at the Battle of Bunker Hill, the light infantry only had 5 men left un-wounded. All companies, except the grenadiers who were garrisoning New York City, at the Battle of Guilford Court House in the American War of Independence. The regiment participated in nearly every campaign from the Lexington & Concord to Yorktown. Many first hand accounts of the American War of Independence can be found in "the Diary of Lieutenant Frederick Mackenzie" or Serjeant Roger Lamb's "Original and Authentic Journal of Occurrences During the Late American War". Other accounts can be found in the book by Mark Urban.

At the surrender of Yorktown, the Royal Welch Fusiliers were the only British Regiment not to surrender their colours, these were smuggled out due to being tied around the Ensign’s waist and only surrendering their colour poles with leather cases.

During the Napoleonic Wars, they served from 1810 to 1814 in the Peninsular War; fighting at Albuera, Badajoz, Salamanca, the Pyrenees, Nivelle and Toulouse and took part in the Battle of Waterloo where they fought in the 4th Brigade under Lt-Col. Hugh Henry Mitchell, in the 4th British Infantry Division.

In the nineteenth century, the regiment took part in the Crimean War, the Second China War, the Indian Mutiny and the Third Anglo-Burmese War before serving in the South African War of 1899-1902.

President Andrew Jackson . . . He was a Major General in The War of 1812

:P forgot all about the battle of New Orleans :D
Too be honest in my mind, as peace was officially legally signed before the events at New Orleans I do not consider the Battle of New Orleans as a engagement of the War of 1812. Id say it's more of a random battle or a scrap . I wouldn't say anything is War of 1812 there. My Opinions.

The battle was fought by both sides with objectives that would further their position in the War (since word had not got to them yet). As far as the men and commanders were concerned, they were fighting to win the war. So how is it not a part of the war? Additionally, the British were all "we're in the process of making a peace with the United States, so get an invasion force South," so again, all the actions were fought for the war.
I typed My Opinions
Peace had legally been signed so I myself deny New Orleans as  battle legally of the 1812 war

For TheBritishLoyalist

Revert the ani_attacks BRF file.
You will need the vanilla NW actions.txt file to revert the standing animations.
Time to go digging through 55 pages for info  ::) Hold on

Quote
Added four new idle/standing animations that change every time you stand still (no more robotic soldiers in your line, this isn't a parade anyway)

For the multiple animations, it's actually really simple, in the "actions.txt" file you'll find all the animations that are contained in the .brf files. All I did was find the correct animation in the txt file, copy paste it to get the same path etc, and change the names of the copies.
Oh and if you wanted to do it yourself, don't forget to change the number at the end of the first line, for example, I changed it from 1 to 4
Here's what it looks like now:

Code: Multiple Animations
stand_staff 0 16777216  4
  4.000000 staff_cstance_musket 0 59 1342177297 0 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000  0.000000
  4.000000 staff_cstance_musket2 0 59 1342177297 0 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000  0.000000
  4.000000 staff_cstance_musket3 0 59 1342177297 0 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000  0.000000
  4.000000 staff_cstance_musket4 0 59 1342177297 0 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000  0.000000

These animations will now alternate at random whenever the player moves and stands still again, they'll also cycle through when standing still and the current animation ends...

tfw digging through 55 pages one at a time

SWEET JESUS SOMEONE HAS HELPED ME, OH MY GOD ITS ABOUT TIME MY CHARACTER STOPPED BEING A DOUCHE IN A LINE BATTLE,

42
Im guessing this has been asked 100000000 times on here before.
Im using the latest version but I want the vanilla animations for standing still and running. The firing and swords are ok, but the movement? just no.
How do I go about replacing these after ive already fully installed Enhanced?

use the old ani_attacks.brf
did not work, it messed my game even worse!! Now the up attack does not even show an attack and the down attack is the original. I want the movement not the attacks. I need more assistance than this.

Yes this is still in progress. I have been a bit busy with my Napoleonic Wars regiment's events and getting us settled into an army.
Oh yes. And could I have some picture sources to those Dutch regiments? I can't find good pictures of them for the life of me, The British regiment list will be posted soon along with the Dutch moved to the front page!!

THE ROYAL LONDON NORTH SURREY REGIMENT

NSR IS A FICTIONAL REGIMENT BASED ON THE UNIT IN THE MOVIE THE FOUR FEATHERS. THIS REGIMENT REPRESENTS THE KINGS HESSIAN INFANTRY IN B&I

North Surrey Regiment participated in the Sudan campaign against the Madhi in the ending stages of the Victorian Period. The NSR set sail for Egypt from England and were to be part of General Kitcheners Army. The Regiment on a patrol had set up camp surrounded by mountains and a weak barricade of leafs, branches and grass sort of resembling a hedge bush or a make-shift early barbed wire.
The NSR was soon engaged by the Fuzzy-Wuzzies (The Rebels) and were forced to form a Square in the centre of the camp. The regiment soon was overrun and the Colours were lost. Prior to this final engagement of the NSR the regiment was at the Battle of Omdurman forming part of the British Battle Line. This regiment succeeded at Omdurman only be struck with doom afterwards.
