Shoes are the worst, really. I don't think there's any item re-enactors are less likely to buy historically.

While historically the collar should be closed, it is often impossible to do so, due to the collar just being way to tight.

I can also imagine that a lot of people would not have been able to close the collar either. After all, they did not get custom made uniforms, but only had them issued in 3 sizes or so.

Yeah, besides, he's doing 1790s, I don't think collars even could be closed at that time.
