All that ocean, must be Akavir. Atleast I'm hoping so.

We'll probably have to wait a bit though, keep in mind the game is only in it's pre-production phase so far.

Well, I'm happy they do atleast work on it. I don't mind playing it in 2021 or so. As long as they take their time and make it as big as all the other Titles.

While Akavir could be cool, it would be a shame if they set it in Akavir. I'm either thinking all the ocean is the coastline of either Hammerfell or High Rock tbh.

As long as it isn't the Summerset Isles it will be good.

Why would it be a shame?

Mainly because we have yet to see a game in the other provinces of Tamriel such as Black Marsh, Valenwood, Elsweyr. I'm not going to count mods towards that really, while the Skyrim Mod Moonpath to Elsweyr was good, it wasn't a full game.

Akavir at least to me would be the most limited option they could go. While it is their world and their rules, Akavir in lore is generally not a good place to go as soon with as seen with Uriel Septim V, Emperor of Tamriel when he tried to invade Akavir. "In 3E 288, Uriel V invaded Akavir, which was ultimately a failure. He was killed in Akavir in 3E 290 on the battlefield of Ionith." Now if you don't know anything about Akavir and the Akaviri species, then you'd see why it probably wouldn't make for that good of a game. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Akavir

Edit: I think it's a shame mainly because there's plenty of good opportunities for a good game set in the main continent of Tamriel before moving to Akavir.

Hammerfell would be a good game seeing as the last Hammerfell game we got was before I was born and had those cheap 90s 2d text graphics. Redguard was a good game so I've been told, but who knows what the world could look like with those modern next gen graphics.

Valenwood is the land with large trees where the Bosmer live in. I highly doubt this game will feature Valenwood. Would be really nice though.

Even If I still love playing Skyrim I really hope that they will improve the combat in VI. It was certainly not a bad combat in general but it was lacking in hit feedback. The combat in the news TES should be more impactful, for example in Skyrim you'd hit filthy looking bandit with a dwarven warhammer and it felt like you'd hit him with a bloody stick.
