Blood & Iron / Re: In Development - B&I 3.0 - We're still working on it!

Because I can't be bothered with the state that these forums have fallen into tbh, and more people get notified by stuff getting posted on moddb.
Does it send out like Emails or something?

What's with the Stripes down the front?
It looks nice aswell

For some reason this uniform had stripes on the front... :P

Those are 100% NOT stripes, but ribbing in the fabric. Any sort of stripes you see are from the drawers colorizing of the illustration.

Yeah, that's the US 1872 Fatigue Coat and here's a real version of what it looks like. (Personally, most Indian War uniforms disappoint me except the Dress Uniform for Infantry.)

Whigs & Tories / Re: Ranks (1770 +)
« on: August 29, 2015, 05:47:23 am »
Not really sure where that source you posted got those 1780 ranks.

The US Didn't use Chevrons until the Twenties when they stopped using Epaulette placing to designate rank.
Even in the quote they supposedly got from General Washington laying down a standard for Uniforms, it still doesn't make any reference to Chevrons being used at this time.

(I'm really sorry, it seems this is getting a lot of Hate, but I guess I can see why. Please keep in mind that I'm doing this to avoid use of inaccurate info.)

Not really sure what's going on here, but this is pretty much how the 11te is going to respond.

New idle animations, will be played randomly when you're idle. Using a NaS uniform because I didn't have any others at the time.

Now that 1.0 is finally out, the Legion can dust off their Képi blancs and take victory on the field!

I used to do Civil War reenactment with the Red River Battalion, but now I've started to get into the early Pike and Shot era as Landsknecht
Pretty Cool time to reenact. Do you use a Matchlock?

This is a good place to be. Where everybody might know your name if you try hard enough

Well, yeah since the French Foreign Legion is a part of the French military lol They didn't have really different uniforms at the time, maybe different Epaulette colors and different insignia's on their Kepis.
But yeah, I would really like to own a few hats which includes a Pre/Early WWI Foreign Legion Kepi and a Casquette  ;D

La Légion est la Légion

I would say that both hats are iconic to the French. I imagine the Casquette as what was used to conquer Algieria and whatnot, and the Kepi for other French things. Like Mexico.
(I also realize that the faction is purely for fun since it has no historic relations)
