How Do You Interface With And Control A Server Running on Your Own Machine?

I have successfully set up and have launched a server on my local machine (for map testing.) I did this with the Steam "Battle Cry of Freedom - Dedicated Server" download.  Is there any way to control the server via a GUI interface like those provided by commercial hosting sites? If not, where can I find a list of the console window (terminal) commands necessary to achieve similar functionality?

Any help would be appreciated.

What are you attempting to do? Do you want to run and play in your server?
