Mangrove Mountain Country Fair- Saturday 19th October 2013

Hi All,

For those of you in Australia, specifically around Sydney, there will be an event called the Mangrove Mountain Country Fair. It is not a reenactment event, however, there will be local re-enactors in the event, such as me and my group.

I will be at Ironfest next year, yes. So will TomaHawkAU (I hope).

I will be there with 2 groups, my ACW group and my European Dark Ages group.

Thats more 13th and 14th century that they did that... Not in Anglo-Saxon England. In fact, women in Anglo-Saxon times had much more rights than they did later in medieval times. They were allowed to marry who they choose and they basically ran the house when the men were off fighting battles. Same goes with the Viking women, house wives performed the same tasks and were treated the same as our culture, I know thats hard to believe but its true and much like our culture today when we men have to buy jewellery for the women to woo her and get married. Same went with the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons.

Sorry if this made no sense, I am so exhausted I dont even know what i am saying half the time. It might get a little repetitive.

Never paid any attention to that. I came to drink sassafras and eat turkey legs and oogle ladies cuz you know dem medieval make twins pop up.

Sassafras tho, such taste in it.
