For French, we usually sing 'Chant du Depart' or the Marseillaise. 3eme aren't really big singers, the 85eme for example sing a lot more.

I'm trying to learn 'Den Keyzer, Oranje en Chassé', a Dutch song which is quite nice, for my Dutch Hussar impression. I also try to learn 'Fanchon' and 'Aupres de ma blonde', which are French but are historically not incorrect for the Dutch to sing.

En passant par la Lorraine is a favourite in the 21e, I intend to learn a chunk of French marching songs, mainly the ones I'm posting :D
While I'm at it:

Richmond is a Hard Road to Travel is a good one for the longer marches, one of our Corporals does the verses and we all bellow the choruses

what impression do you do?
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Garry Owen is great.

I however despise the 7th Cavalry Version of the Song.

Well, I would share a Dark Ages song but they are quite inappropriate and the moderators definitely wont allow it...

The lyrics are perfect for re-enactment - Someone who knows the lyrics just shouts them out and the rest of the group listens and follows.
The pronunciation of the words is a bit hard, though.

An old irish marching song dating back to the Jacobite rebellions.
