Introduction
Within the 1stMo we wish to encourage a healthy community void of drama which is our practice due to the older age of our main player base.

We shall be training in both historical and practical methods to provide our group a sense of professionalism so every man knows his duties during events.

We will provide a competitive aspect to our gameplay. Be that accuracy through musketry or the use of bayonets.

History

As we are a Regiment focused on honoring both sides of Missouri's Civil War History as there Regiments that fought on Both Sides we will be carrying as both USA and CSA 1st Missouri.

Union Regimental History
The 1st Missouri Volunteer Infantry elected Congressman Blair colonel of the regiment. The new Missouri Volunteer regiments, subsequently elected (then) Captain Nathaniel Lyon as the brigadier general of the new brigade of Missouri volunteers. President Lincoln would later confirm Lyon's promotion from captain to brigadier general. The unit was converted to the 1st Missouri Light Artillery Regiment at the beginning of September 1861.

Confederacy Regimental History
Originally commanded by Colonel John S. Bowen, the regiment fought at the Battle of Shiloh, where it was engaged near the Peach Orchard on April 6, 1862. On April 7, during the Union counterattacks at Shiloh, the regiment was instrumental in preventing the Washington Artillery from being captured. The regiment was next engaged at the Second Battle of Corinth, where it outflanked several Union positions. On the second day at Corinth, the regiment was only minimally engaged. On November 7, the 1st Missouri Infantry was combined with the 4th Missouri Infantry to form the 1st and 4th Missouri Infantry (Consolidated), as a result of heavy battle losses in both regiments.
