The only reason ive been holding of on france is roughly half of my pictures are of them and it would be the largest upload by far. Anything in particular?

As much line/guard infantry as possible. Any and all variations! The more the better. :D

There are another 50 pictures ill add for the Russia section tomorrow. Then I will work on France.
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

If yoru down I can do the same thing where I uplodad the imgur gallery. Thats the quick part putting them on the forums takes time.

Millander absolutely amazing. Say do you know why Russian Infantry regiments were not numbered, they were just called and titled by their cities/provinces. Rarely any regiment was numbered, few cavalry mostly Jager regiments. I don't know why.

To my understanding the trend during the age if black powder was for regiments to be named after their chief then to region and then numbering. I bet the Russians with their musketeers regiments didn't see the need. These were already very old regiments steeped with tradition. Maybe because the jäger regiments were much newer that's why they were given numbers instead of a regional name. For example the french army under the old regime had their regiments named after their chiefs but when the army was reformed during the revolution they were numbered

Prussian Regiment where called after their Chief/owner before 1807, the numbers where only for some oranisation reasons.
