The Battle of Blenheim
A Modification for Mount and Blade: Warband

About Blenheim

The Battle of Blenheim (also known as the Second Battle of Höchstädt) was one of the biggest and most famous battles of the War of the Spanish Succession. King Louis XIV was leading France at the height of its military prowess and wanted to remove the threat of the Holy Roman Empire, to do this he wanted to secure Vienna (the Hapsburg capital) and gain a favourable peace settlement. Vienna was in a very precarious situation, bordered by the strong armies of northern Italy and Bavaria and even having problems on its doorstep in the form of Hungarian Rebels. The Duke of Marlborough realised the position of Vienna so he marched south to alleviate the peril of the capital and to hold the Grand Alliance together. Marlborough marched roughly 250 miles from the Low Countries to the banks of the River Danube, Initially the Duke wanted to engage the Elector's and Marsin's troops before help arrived, however they did not come so the Duke set about plundering the Bavarian countryside. The Franco-Bavarian army did not bite and so both sides waited until friendly troops arrived. They then faced off on the banks of the river near the small village of Blenheim. The following battle was a tremendous victory for the Grand Alliance and it led to Bavaria leaving the war and it destroyed the French army allowing the alliance to sweep through southern Germany and onto the border with France.

So, you will focus on one battle, not the whole war?
Good luck!

Just the battle. I'm new to modding so I didn't want to do anything to big.

I do enjoy these Pre-Napoleonic settings more; Would love to see a mod set around Suvorov's involvement in the Russo-Turkish War of 1787.

But this is just as good a topic! Good luck!

Good luck bbe.
*EDIT* Why not put the Hesse-Kassel units into Prussia instead of Britain, as Prussia and Hesse-Kassel were both part of the HRE.
