The Republic of France isn't concerned about the shrinking of the French army. We are pleased with the relatively large force, around about 2,000,000 men in Force but you have to remember that they are very well-trained (I have trained them now since the start of the game). I'd rather have a trained, smallish force than a small, untrained force.

Yes, the size of France before the war was 4,000,000 and after mobilisation is went to 8,000,000. And nobdody was trained for trench warfare.
