Hello. We are getting a new dedicated server within a few days. Pings may be a little different since the location is in Kansas City, but performance should be MASSIVELY improved

Prices may also be lowered, but will not be raised.

96th Regiment of Foot

Teamspeak: gshosting.us
The 96th are a relatively new regiment, with experienced leaders and experienced players. All members were in the 60thRAR regiment until the leader decided to break off and take members with him. We have about 22 members with us and we'd love it if you'd be number 23!

History

The 96th Regiment of Foot was a regiment of the British Army from 1798 to 1881, when it became the 2nd Battalion, Manchester Regiment. Its lineage is perpetuated by the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment. They served in Egypt, and during the Battle of Alexandria, as French cavalry charged the infantry, near to breaking through, the 96th advanced forward firing volley after volley devastating the cavalry.
The regiment had certainly fought with honour and bravery, despite their origins, fighting keenly for the British in the Egyptian Campaign. That year, the regiment was renamed the Queen's Own Germans and in 1805, was given the numeric title, the 97th. The regiment also saw service in the Peninsula War, taking part in the Battle of Vimeiro, emulating their astonishing courage in the campaign in Egypt. The regiment later fought at the battles of Talavera, Busaco and Albuera, and the Siege of Badajoz.
They were subsequently posted to the West Indies. In 1814, they were dispatched to Upper Canada, where they took part in some of the last engagements of the Anglo-American War of 1812.

By 1816 the regiment was renumbered as The 96th (Queen's Own Germans) Regiment of Foot, though had now only a minimal element of foreign soldiers within its ranks, and was no longer considered a foreign corps in 1810. It was disbanded in 1818 in Ireland.

60 is fine, a number that I can only dream of. The 120 that I and others have been consistently getting now was what I was talking about.

No, no. Someone said that we need better internet. I said I have 60mbps internet connection. Yet my ping was well above 100.

10
Actually, I kind of agree with gedizz, the server pings have been really weird lately. Some NAers get 60's pings, and others get 120's, even when they're from the same state. That being said, it doesn't really bother me that much since the linebattle itself is so much fun. :)
I get 70 ping. Me thinks you need better internet if you have bad ping.

is 60mbps really not good enough these days? :s

I mean, I saw that nearly everyone had 100+, I know none of the 15 guys we brought were under 100. That was only one event that we attended though.

11
Sorry, the 60thRAR will no longer be attending because of the 120 ping average, it felt like we were playing on an EU server.

Looking for an experienced NA regiment. If you're going to put me on a hill and shoot the enemy from across the map, don't bother recruiting me. I like to melee, and I don't like 12 year olds screaming in teamspeak when I do it. Private message me if you want me, I probably wont be checking the thread.
