Cuirassier/Dragoon swords are heavier and slower, but do more damage and also are better in stabbing then sabres. Sabres are very well for cutting through your enemys and they are quite fast, but they don't do so much damage. Officer swords are very fast and have a good range, but their damage is quite low. And yes, short swords are fast but still sh...t in my opinion.

But the best sword is the scottish broadsword as it is great for stabbing and cutting, has an excellent range, is fast and does good damage.
