Hello. The 2. Linien-Infanterie-Regiment Kronprinz welcome's you and thanks you for viewing the forum thread. The regiment is made of up mostly -ex 44e seeing as this amazing new unit came out with its sexy uniforms and we just could not help ourselfs. We as a regiment decided to change names and take up this amazing one with our own in-game unit. We are a very friendly and welcoming community that can help train new players and seasoned veterans alike.


History(A bit long but worth reading.)



First Coalition War 1792-1797
A battalion of the regiment in 1794 in defense of Mannheim reassigned, the rest of the regiment remained in Munich. On 14 April 1796 was Johann Nepomuk Graf von Trivia appointed for 3 years as Colonel Commandant of the Regiment. On 21 February 1799 was Elector Ludwig Karl August , from 1 Crown Prince in January 1806, appointed to the owner of the regiment. On 31 March 1799 it was awarded the 3rd Grenadier company of the Regiment "Graf Ysenburg". On June 6, 1799, the regiment was renamed "Fusilier Regiment Elector".


Second Coalition War 1798-1802
On 5 May 1800 was the combined battalion "Pompei" to cover the march of the 2nd Brigade under Colonel Baron Wrede used. Here, the battalion commander Major Vincenz Graf Pompei pointed by wise and expedient conduct of its officers and men from all attempts to break through the French. Third Coalition War 1805
Two battalions were for the war against Austria in 1805 the brigade of Major General Earl Minucci (1st Division Lieutenant General by Deroy assumed). On 1 November 1805 two companies were used in the Strub Pass.
The first battalion was the second Brigade (Major General Franz Graf Minucci) of the second Division (Lieutenant-General Freiherr von Wrede assigned). At the end of 1806 it was in a skirmish at Glogau and Breslau involved. On 13 June 1807 was a depot preparation of the company for 11 Line Infantry Regiment "Kinkel" submit.



Fifth Coalition War 1809
In the war against Austria in 1809, the regiment was the first Infantry Brigade (1st Division Lieutenant General by Deroy) was assumed. Napoleon's invasion of Russia in 1812
On 15 February 1812, the regiment marched (thickness: 2.100 man), the 1st Brigade was placed under, from under the command of Colonel Ferdinand of Hoffnaß of Salzburg, reaching on 3 July the Niemen . In the battle of Polotsk on 17 August 1812, the regiment lost 120 killed and over 200 wounded. The tracking in October 1812 replacement of two officers and 36 men could not compensate for the losses.
