It's by the cRPG devs and used to be Melee: Battlegrounds. A few guys from the NW community were a part of the Alpha, and said that it was promising. I even believe the forums for Melee are still up? Haven't checked in a long time.

Realize it's going to be Early Access so the melee isn't going to be completely fleshed out yet. I would buy it when it's on sale and wait a few patches before getting it.

More like Life is Feudal copy. But it is not (I believe), it's been in development for some time now. If you have a forum account in melee forums and it's at least 2 months old (3 now I think), you got like 20-30% discount through PM.

It's an MMO in which you lead armies and take territory. It's cRPG's strategus mode in a standalone open world as far as I know. Nothing at all like Kingdom Come. Also, Kingdom Come is hardly an original idea anyway so I hardly see how a new game could be copying it.

Managed to get a quick chance to play this during the early access yesterday if anyone is interested it's just a 20 min play through of the tutorial and duels game mode and my opinion on it thus far;

Joined in on the Press Beta the other day. Performance on my 980 was rather poor even on medium graphics and the double handed weapons are currently very janky feeling to use. I don't think I would pick up this game but if I did I would go axe and shield me thinks.

My PC is pretty solid when it comes to most games, I wasn't on ultra on OKAM but it still jitterred a bit for myself which was a similar issue I had on the Kingdom Come Beta (though I had no issues on the alpha). The melee felt alright but it was just a bit weird and the hits are a bit inconsistent (hitboxes).

Considering it's only going to be £20 and not a full price game it's something I'd consider buying if you are a M&B fan but people have to bare in mind the melee is completely different since it's more based around the left click and a bit more realistic in the fact there are no chambers, kicks are less effective and it's a bit harder to do effective feints.

I've been playing it for a couple of hours and I can say that I like it, melee is different but after some time you get used to it. I can't wait to see what's The Epic about

It is not. Any early access game isn't worth it.

The combat sounds are pretty fucked up imo. At first I thought it looked nice, but now that I have seen more videos its a 10 min game for me.

I think it is worth it. I have played like 16 hours which is more than ive played in any game in a week in a long ass time. The combat has a bit to improve on but it is quite fun.
