Title: 2e - CO inappropriate line battle conduct
Post by: Malakith on January 15, 2013, 09:38:15 pm
Putting this out there as both a warning to event organisers and people potentially joining their regiment.

The 2e's Leader - 2e_Cpt_Penn

In the middle of a Line Battle event decided he would leave the game, create a fake name. Rejoin on the opposite team and then assassinate that teams officers before logging out to hopefully escape his obvious ban.

Under usual circumstances I would just ban the guy and get on with it but considering this is a regiment leader I would expect far better conduct from them, especially when attending a 200 man event.

For anyone who needs it:

20:30:39 - 2e_Cpt_Penn has left the game with ID: 276436
*** Removed due to excessive unnecessary entries but can be sent if people request ***
20:31:37 - 77y_Cdt_Mejik has joined the game with ID: 276436
*** Removed due to excessive unnecessary entries but can be sent if people request ***
20:33:33 - 77y_Cdt_Mejik <img=ico_headshot> 77y_Maj_Malakith
20:33:33 - 77y_Cdt_Mejik teamkilled 77y_Maj_Malakith.
20:33:34 - [15th_Cav_Cvl_Pablo] :3
20:33:34 - [77y_Pfc_RustyTurban] Mallkeith. Can we have tea and biscuits?
20:33:35 - [15th_Light_Pvt_Shaun_Tripp] TITS! (.)(.)
20:33:35 - 77y_Cdt_Mejik has left the game with ID: 276436

Time point in video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=XlcwRbYI8ro#t=1603s

If the rest of the 2e still wish to attend (I suspect they do not) they are more than welcome but he most certainly is not and has been ID banned as such from the logs.

To be honest, that was a smart plan..

Smart Malakith, more regiments should act like this, instead of childishly going to the Leader of the regiment and requesting a kick or something that is obviously not going to happen. Always best to talk civily and just remove the nuissance from the source. Definately going to bump this up to some other leaders. :D

Thanks InfamousBeast, the biggest problem was I believe he IS the leader of the regiment. He would need to have the highest integrity in the world to kick himself for poor conduct.

I have always had an idea like this in my head but im not a dick to go out and do it  ::)

but how did he spawn? If it was battlemode be couldn't spawn; Or did he spawn at the start and try and find you?

He swapped just before the end of 1 round then assassinated at the beginning of the next.

So all he effectively did was make me able to command from Spectator instead of being on a horse, so it wasn't his best plan if he actually wanted to gain anything from it.

I should try that
It's funny how anybody can walk into a teamspeak, get a password and troll an event so easily. Yet it never happens.

Oh come on, can't a guy have a lil' fun

Edit:
In the middle of a Line Battle event decided he would leave the game, create a fake name. Rejoin on the opposite team and then assassinate that teams officers before logging out to hopefully escape his obvious ban.

From that text you seem to think I do this all the time and with other officers, which is not the case.
Anyway, I'd say you're taking this to serious

He is taking to it seriously because it is a pretty low blow and an immature thing to do.

Yes it is, but the point is that you've decided to play this game in a more serious against other people in which there is some set rules on how to play.
When you're behaving like this it just makes you seem like you don't care about others and want to ruin the fun.

From what I remember it added another dimension to the game. Alot of fuzz about what I did. Talk about an assassin and what not.

Not the point though, again rules are made to be followed.

Childish community behaviour is not encouraged, Penn earned a 10 day mute on the forum.

Let that be the end of this bickering.
