This has been circulated around my group's community for a few weeks, thought it might interest some people here. Not really re-enactment, more like wrestling with armour and weapons.

It's gotten a mixed response from most of the group's members, but it's pretty interesting to see a much more brutal approach to fighting.

I did flip out when I saw one of them with a camp stove, though.

looks like fun but not a good idea to fight one on one with a Russian or Polish guy... their rules in regards to combat are really different to the ones we have in the rest of the world.

by different i mean their safety laws are really, really loose.

thats why training for medieval fighting is compulsory and you must pass a test each time you go and fight, to test whether you are safe enough. but in Russia they dont do that, and by the looks of it, they havent obeyed the re-enactment safety laws.

this sint re-enactment, this is a medieval fight-club, different things, fightclubs tend to be wayyy more farby.

That's just fucking ridiculous. The first video had people bleeding, getting stuck (and getting beaten by the enemy while stuck), Russians don't joke. Dayum. Also, is this LARP with the foam weapons, or edged weapons?

I think that they are blunt weapons.

But some of the spears looked like they had some foam on them, same with the arrows.
