No Sound with recent update

It seems anytime i unplug my headset and try to re-launch NW, there is no sound and only with the recent update. How weird. Any help is appreciated
 ;D
EDIT: I can fix the problem by RESETTING my PC but you can imagine that is not very plasusible especially just before or during regimental events

EDIT NUMERO DOS: I fixed it. I could have had a Blu-ray DvD window open at the same time.
