Events / Battle of Hodów (25th August 2018) [The Deluge warband mod]
« on: August 13, 2018, 09:46:17 pm »

Battle of Hodów
 AD 1694

In June 1694, during the reign of Jan III Sobieski, several years after the famous Battle of Vienna, the Crimean Khanate decided to strike against the Commonwealth in order to acquire booty. Against them, the polish-lithuanian rulers put 7 hussar and cossack style cavalry regiments. Initially, such small forces were sent because of information about only thousand or two of crimean tatars. The main forces however was 10x higher. The final clash took place near Hodow, where 400 Hussars fought 40.000 of Tatars. Many times, the Lipkis - Polish Tatars urged the defenders to surrender - unsuccessfully. The seriousness of the clash is evidenced by the fact that King John III Sobieski, a year after the victory, issued a monument to the victorious soldiers of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Information

The event is hosted once at this moment, if the amount of clans willing to play will be high we higher than amount of space, we will create a second event. The first one is planned for 25 of August, 2018.

Phases of the battle

                            Cavalry Battle

3x Battle

The Polish Commonwealth was just attacked by a front guard, several hundred horse-drawn. Initially, Tatars were taken as the main enemy forces. This information provoked Poles to a direct fight. However, quite quickly, in the face of escalation, the poles have realized that a much larger army was ahead of them. Then, a tactical retreat towards the local village of Hodów began.

This phase will be divided into three rounds of battle after about 15 minutes. Victory in this phase will be important for the further events of the battle.

Modifications / Custom grenade script?
« on: June 17, 2018, 09:46:17 pm »
Hello,
I'm looking for someone who could make a script for server, which would add 1-2 grenades to grenadiers in-game, and would change the range of the grenade/bottle. Hatpack was the only modification with that ability, but now it's not working. I'd be pleased if someone would help me.

Regimental History

The history of the regiment begins in 1808, and the return of the French from Spain. The emperor was then forced to find a way to encourage new recruits to join. This was due to the proliferation of local fighting in Spain as well as the anticipated war with Austria. The roads in maintenance of the 2nd Guards Grenadier Regiment as well as the Rifle of the Riflemen's Regiment were resolved. In their place the first regiment of the so-called Young Guards (Jeune Garde). The regiment was renamed the Tyirer-Grenadier Regiment. The ranks of the regiment were joined by the best conscripts that year. Subsequently, the regiment was joined to the Grenadiers of Pedestrians, and was given the task of acting as a light infantry. The regiment was composed of two battalions after six companies. The structure was similar to the structures of the line formations, the positions of the older officers were possessed by veterans of the Second Guards Grenadier Regiment, while the younger were transferred from the school in Saint-Cyr.

The regiment, in contrast to the emerging regiments of the Tyrallieurs-Chasseurs, took part in the campaign of 1809 alongside the grenadier guards. Their first battle took place at Ebersberg, where they defeated General Hiller. After this victory, tirralieurs, voltigeurs and Polish cavalrymen went to Amstetten, from where they were sent to Vienna. In return for merit, the emperor gave permission for the tirarers to use sabers with distinctions, intended for elite units. The regiment then fought at Aspern-Essling, where they fought in the area of Gross Aspern. Some of the staff after this battle were sent to Paris, along with seventeen captured banners. Then, the regiment fought at Wagram, while after the battle, on the Emperor's birthday, the soldiers assumed the grenadier epaulettes. On the same day, one of the officers was awarded the Golden Order of the Legion of Honor for the activities under Aspern.

In 1810 the regiment was transferred to Spain along with the rest of the tirailleurs regiments. Before leaving, the regiment was sent for additional training, and by the end of 1809 it was supplemented by the battery of the Young Guard artillery. The tirallieurs were assigned to the brigade together with the Polish cavalry, commanded by General Rouget. The garrison of the unit was in Burgos, where they fought with partisans. The Regiment did not receive food rations, ammunition or salary. To maintain morale, the emperor awarded them 120,000 francs.

The painting of tirallieur with 1812 campaign uniform

In September 1811, the regiment's supplies were fully replenished. During the spring of 1812, it was withdrawn from Spain, and was transferred to the Lanabere brigade, belonging to the elite Rouget division. The regiment was kept in the reserve near Borodino and entered Moscow unscathed. The regiment was devastated by the disease and desertion when it was returning to France. The remnants of the unit along with the brigade fought at Krasnoye and on the Berezina River. After these battles, the regiment was decimated.

In 1813, the regiment, supplemented with new conscripts and officers from line units, was sent for Frankfurt, where it reinforced the ranks of Tindal's brigade. The regiment became the reserve force of the army at the time. At the turn of 1813/14, the regiment played an important role at Lützen, Bautzen, Leipzig, Brienne, La Rothiere, Champaubert, Montmireil, St. Thierry, Vauchamps, Montereau, Laon, Arcis-sur-Aube, Fere-Champenoise, Courtrai, Craonne, St. Dizier, and Paris.

In the Battle of Dresden, the regiment attacked 6 Prussian battalions, after that 200 soldiers were awarded the Order of the Legion of Honour. During the hundred days, Napoleon expressed himself in the regiment as "the bravest of the Tirallieurs". At Leipzig, the regiment defended its position at Lindenau. The Regiment was dissolved after the first abdication, while it was rebuilt from former soldiers during Napoleons last campaign. They fought also at Ligny and Waterloo. In the last battle of the emperor, the regiment to the last man defended Planceloit against the Prussians.

Every battle in which the regiment fought before the 1814 was victorious for the emperor.

Suggestions & Bug Reports / Adding new unit in place of removed Bavarians
« on: January 19, 2018, 09:13:02 pm »
Hello,
I've recently downloaded a NW with new patch. I am wondering if it would be possible to replace removed bavarians with maybe Italians, French (Sappeurs-Mineurs), or Swiss, even to use regiment from Duchy of Warsaw

I would be pleased if rest of the community would give their opinion.

Historia Regimentu

Latem 1809 roku, podczas wojny polsko-austriackiej, sformowano sześć nowych pułków piechoty. By nie zadrażniać stosunków z Rosją, nadano im nazwę „galicyjsko-francuskich”. 13 pułk piechoty sformowany został kosztem cyrkułu lubelskiego, siedleckiego i bialskiego. Do 26 grudnia 1809 nosił nazwę 1 pułku piechoty galicyjsko-francuskiej. Sztaby batalionów liczyć miały 4 osoby, a kompanie 136 żołnierzy. W sumie w pułku powinno służyć 2487 żołnierzy. Faktycznie stan osobowy oddziału był nieco mniejszy.
Zgodnie z zarządzeniem Napoleona z 17 maja 1811 roku, na terenie Księstwa Warszawskiego utworzono trzy dywizje. Pułk wszedł w skład 1 Dywizji.
W czasie inwazji na Rosję 1812 roku pułk pozostał w kraju i stanowił załogę Zamościa. W 1812 i 1813 walczył w obronie swojego macierzystego garnizonu.
Po abdykacji Napoleona, car Aleksander I wyraził zgodę na odesłanie oddziałów polskich do kraju. Miały one stanowić bazę do tworzenia Wojska Polskiego pod dowództwem wielkiego księcia Konstantego. 13 czerwca 1814 roku pułkowi wyznaczono miejsce koncentracji w Poznaniu. Pułk nie został jednak odtworzony, bowiem etat armii Królestwa Polskiego przewidywał tylko 12 pułków piechoty. Nowe pułki piechoty sformowano dopiero po wybuchu powstania listopadowego. Rozkaz dyktatora gen.
