As someone who has played Dynasty Warriors 2-8 +all the Empire versions and played Romance of the Three Kingdom series, and read the actually book (it's long) and study this in college.

 I am super excited!

I hope this will be good. I'm not super confident as I was rather disappointed by CA's latest games. But who knows

I wanted to subjugate Africans and restore Spain but instead I'm going to be fighting with starving peasant farmers.

I do hope that unit sizes are gigantic because Chinese battles apparently involved hundreds of thousands to millions of men with the losses being just as high. One of many examples:

god damn, Anthony is smart, he was able to get the shit AEF to tie with the best reg in the game. The tactical geniusness needed to pull off such a feat is insane. He's the Erwin Rommel of NW.

It won't be FSE developing it, so it will come out!

If this game is actually going to be historical based and realistic without these magical effects that they brought in due to reasons of Total War Warhammer I'm totally in.

The unit sizes should be gigantic due to the fact that Chinese Wars had a rediculous amount of people fighting in it compared to Western Wars. On the topic of realism, that is yet to be seen. I’m thinking it won’t entirely be on that side of things, as they are focusing on the RoTK aspect of the time period. The temptation to put in legendary warriors who can 1v300+ is probably to great. There probably won’t be magic per se, but the strength of these heroes will likely make it seem like it’s still there.

I'm not against powerful hero units, but I hope they do it like past total wars where you get a smaller unit but with a lot of stats. Shogun 2 did them best in my opinion. Hopefully it's like the hero plus his escort so they're not just 1 man

Ever since they introduce the new way generals are with Warhammer TW I have been calling that they will do a RoTK version. It would fit perfect. This will be the first TW game I buy at launch too.

I'm going to wait until some gameplay videos. I don't want that magical overrated bullshit. I mean if it's going to be like Shogun 2 like William said with one unit that has better stats, that I'm ok with. But not some guy who slashes with his glaive or sword staff and 5 people fly through mid-air.

that'd be cool

TW games are not really realistic anyway

those chinese heroes are a real thing in china, i think the 1 op dude killing an entire battalion is gonna happen
One of the best side blockers in the game. Often reffered as 'the Sideblock King'.
