War of 1812 Version 0.5 is a full version. Last version patch 0.4 was just a patch. Due to the nature of getting early/late war uniform ideas to work it is a full version.

When I have checked during the week on the 1812 mod there has been no one playing, what gives?

Public play is not as active as events. Today is a big scheduled event.

My reaction to 0.5 being released as a standalone instead of a patch...subsequently confusing tons of 1812 players causing them to lose all motivation to play.

I said version 0.5. I did not say a patch. I would of said Patch #2 but that isn't the case here. I also said before due to the nature of 0.5 it is a full version.

I have spent countless hours to days on end to make the mod. The community should give it a spin more.

You should get a grip. Beta 0.5 is far superior to 0.4. It offers much more content and because it has two Resource folders instead of one, it could not be done as a patch. It is also run on 3 different servers and has regularly scheduled events every week.

I understand it is better but many players did not realize at first that they had to delete the original 0.4 folder first. Heck, I'm still explaining this to many of my guys, many of which have just given up because the mod is unable to function properly for them anymore. I got it to work and I enjoy it but regiments have lost players and interest due to the 0.5 release. Events have seen considerable downturns and it is a shame.

I cant run the exe.... I have had NW since release and I played the mod on patch 0.4.
I assume you have some automatic script searching for the normal path C:blalbala however I installed Steam on my 2nd driver D:blablabla
