Sounds reasonable enough. Only thing is, their officers were British, no? Spoke in English, commanded in English. The English have always been particular about their officers being Englishmen. The Germans did the same thing in WWII, they had German WH officers leading Bosniaks, Croats, Serbs, Czechs, etc.

The Volts were Provincial Militia, so I think the officers were Quebecois also.

For post release projects aside from the Mexican-American suggestions you should work on a faction replacement mod for regular NW with the American side.

I am already working on a US re-skin of the Austrian faction for the vanilla Nap Wars. I will start a thread in the minor mods section when it is close to completion. It should not take me to long to complete it. Perhaps a few weeks. Stay tuned.

I don't suppose you can do a version that replaces the British? The Austrians are always used for other faction replacement mods.

I will consider re-skinning the British faction instead. That way the voice files would be a better match with a US faction. I'll let you know what I decide once I start the Minor Mod thread.

On second thought the British Faction is a much better fit since it has a Navy and they carry two colors like US regiments. I will definitely use it for the re-skin.

we might plan to add the Mexican Rebels and the Spanish Faction who settle in Mexico during the 1820's or so. Mexican War of Independence 1810-1821

Just like i said in the MAW thread, The mod is at hold. Mexican American War  is about 58% done . US Faction is about 72% Done while the Mexican Faction is 12%. plus Code and more etc...
