Well it would make sense that, just like MB:warband, you can drop your weapons.

I'm not sure whether I'm gonna like the 3D voicechat. They're usually just another way to annoy players.
I'll second that. Should be an option in the settings though, where you can just turn the voice chat off.

Overall, I can imagine it to be extremely fun and useful for Linebattles though.

We have not planned any disarming features. And having the bayonet attached lowers your accuracy/makes it harder to aim.

Yeah, it'll definitely make it easier for officers to communicate with eachother in linebattles.

Will there be some sort of option to equip bayonet prior to spawning? I feel like that would help a lot in things like 1v1's which, as a lot of people would agree, has made up a large portion of NW in its lifespan.

Unless the voice chat is really good, I'll still use team speak, and even then, team speak helps regiments play other games and hangout. It would be most useful during public play for organization I think

Using proximity voice chat will make linebattles much more fun. Being able to talk to members of other regiments would be nice, and officers can communicate much more thoroughly. Not to mention, if anyone plays ARMA, the use of the taskforce radio plugin for TS could make things even more interesting.

As for public play, voice chat could be a bit more fun on a NA1 kind of server, but there will be a fair share of cancer as well.

It would be nice if regiment leaders could flick on/off an option that blocked voice chat of their regiment members in that server in order to avoid trash talking and such.

This is far-fetched but an automatic mute on players from a specific regiment when you join the server. That would be very, very nice.

could also include the voice options as a server admin setting so they could be disabled or enabled in events if shit gets out of hand.

I can only imagine charge. How much trash talking and insults will be created. Or can we not communicate with the enemy team with this? From what I'm getting this seems to basically be a proximity kinda chat where if you are a certain distance they can probably hear you.

3D Voice chat means 3D.
I.e. players that are too far away won't be able to hear you.
Both enemy and friendly players will hear you ofc.

I think it will change the way people play linebattles and give orders. Obviously all regiments would have to agree not to use TS at the same time, otherwise a regiment using TS would be able to talk all over the map, while a regiment that uses 3D chat will only be able to talk to players closeby.

It works in Arma, people love it, so I do not see a reason why it should not work here. It greatly improves immersion and gameplay.

Bayonet will be attached by default, but you can choose to remove it if you want.
