Overview

Hola folks!

Seeing as I have a fair amount of free time on my hands recently (and I've managed to work my head around how OpenBRF and Paint.net work) I've decided to try my hand at some simple reskins. Most of these are just going to be slight colour changes to existing skins (as well as swapping in and out the occasional model, such as the tarleton) so don't expect anything grandiose. Still, it's my first try at skinning, so I'd really appreciate some C&C.

I won't be taking any requests for the time being, partly as I don't feel quite competent enough yet and I'd much rather focus on reskins that interest me. Still, I'm easily contactable through Steam, so if you ever need to get a hold of me message me on [Nr24] Von Brandt.

It's a couple of shades darker than it was, yeah. As it is now I can barely tell if it's dark green or black, which is where I'd like it to be. Might change that in the future, though.

I'll leave it as it is for now then; in the meantime I'll throw up an image of what I have for the 3rd Foot Guard ranker.

Does anybody know how to move the bumpmap for the button? I've been trying to do it myself and it doesn't seem to have had any effect.

You have to make an _s and _n (_n - normal map, _s - I don't know.)

S map is a spec (specular) map And if you used a different texture base IE the British  Light infantry jacket for a more uniformed look then you would have to change the spec and bumps in the proper files. All the ranker jackets use the 3 diff. drummer jackets' n-map and s-map. you will find them to edit in your mmmaterials and mmtextures. and always make a copy of files before messing with them. Also good job, keep up the good work.
