Tonight the 8th Hussars celebrates two years in this community- and what a two years these have been. From primarily Napoleonic Role Play players, our core structure has been built up into a regiment that has become one of the best in the cavalry community. Obviously, this was supplemented by the addition of players along the way but the founding players of the regiment have always stayed and that's probably the reason we have made it so long in such a trash game olol. Last week we celebrated this occasion with a snazzy little event where I forced people to play to the death for my ammusement. The winners of the horse races were Tim&Aless, the gf tourney ( https://challonge.com/r6ek5y9n ) was won by team fir99ers (Quack, Andros and Tim) and the PUBG games were won by Piccolomini, Vaggelaros and Tim. Overall, it was a really lovely event with a great atmosphere and it's a great finish to active events as we will be easing back on the amount of events during the CCL. This was done because all of the officers (including myself) have got a lot of studying and work to focus on and it wasn't possible for us to commit fully to a 14-week event. Our presence would have been half-assed and not at all a reflection of what we've accomplished in the duration of the past two years. So therefore we won't be participating (although some of our players are mercing for other regs during the CCL) but we will be back to rekking everyone (apart from God-like Erik) after we all get some more time. Kudos on 2 years guys, you guys have been an example of how any regiment should be in this community: fun, skilled and friendly. As I've already told you I'm pretty sad that you guys aren't participating to the CCL as you'd have been one of the greatest contenders for the title for sure (but at least I get to enjoy Cage's voice added to his usual nudes). All the best for what comes next and the 4e will always look up to you guys as great friends and strong rivals.
