- Regiment Name : 16th Battalion, Royal Marines
- Faction : United Kingdom
- Class : Marine Infantry
- Based : NA
- Thread Link : https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=394.0

*We also have a website, www.16thMarines.enjin.com - if it could be fit conveniently somewhere there, that would be cool. If it is bothersome to fit it in there and keep everything uniform, don't worry about it.

Thanks.

Seemed to work in MM.  ;)

Regardless. We will use it anyways, disadvantage or not.

I will take a quote from Sharpe...

"A man who looses the king's emperor's colours, loses the king's emperor's friendship"  ;D

Good linebattle tonight, gents. I see you captured your short-range musket volley on us. Good show. Although, I do believe you misplaced something on the ground...  ;)

Boasting aside, I am not sure if I have formally wished you lads luck. So, good luck!  ;D

Unfortunantly in some events, there is a standardized double-line rule that is not often enforced. I believe that, if executed right, a double line provides advantage over single line units. Many ask how, but in my experience, if you perform a two-rank line in a certain manner, the bullets absorption is more concentrated, focusing all damage on indiduals rather than literally everyone. Of course, if spacing is fucked up, it all goes down the shitter.  ;)

In other news. Once I work out the kinks tomorrow, the battalion will no longer be accepting applications to the unit via forums. We now have a website set up at enjin, www.16thMarines.enjin.com. All new recruits will be required to apply to the regiment there and keep active on our site. The forum posts on TaleWorlds and FSE will act as laisons to the community. It is the way forward, gentlemen!

Good linebattle today, gentlemen. The 16th managed to capture two colours today.

- Captured British Infantry Colours from the 72nd Highlanders
- Captured British Cavalry Colours from the 38e Swiss

In addition, Xenokratis has been raised from the rank of Recruit to Private for proving his metal in the face of the enemy.

Banner packs just replace current banners for you. You may still have the same banner as another regiment.

Thanks.

And indeed. The thing about NW is it doesn't have near as many banners to choose from. I chose the one I did because it is common for the Royal Navy.

Congradulations to the following:
  • On December 21st, 2012, in  recognition of time of service, devotion to the battalion, skill in fighting and leading, and being an inspiration to his subordiantes, Erik Wulff has been raised from the rank of Regular to Corporal.
  • On December 21st, 2012, in recognition of proving his metal in the face of the enemy, and effectively neutralizing opponents on the field, Frank Frisbee has been raised from the rank of Recruit to the rank of Private.

In addition:
On This Day, December 21st, 2012, the regiment effectively engaged and destroyed a unit of the 29th Worcestershire Regiment of Foot. During the action, Regular DaApes acquired the enemy regiments colours, adding it to the list of captured 16th colours. Huzzah!

In all, great attendance and all around performance tonight, gentlemen.

What will we do with a drunken sailor...

Off Topic / Re: Gun Control Debate
« on: December 21, 2012, 08:16:55 am »
"Why doesn't the US adopt the same system of Canada?"

Because the US is not Canada. If laws like that were to be enacted, a huge majority of firearms would be confiscated by the government. I am sure you have seen a previous post by me detailing that this just isn't probable. So many of the owners simply wouldn't allow it, as they have gone this long with their arms without any interference. Some may resort to violence to keep their guns. As for me, I would not. However if such laws were enacted, I would sell all my belongings, collect all of my Guard Officer pay, and defect to a different country.

If acess to firearms is so important for you, I hear Somalia has very loose gun restriction. You might be interested.

That seems slightly hostile. I was merely stating that the gun control laws here are the only reason I still live here. If these laws are the same as other countries, I would move to a country that had different tax policies and the like.

P.S My mass murder weapon would be a bat, or perhaps a katana. Just sayin.
